We are growing and we’re looking for exceptional talent to come onboard to lead our People team as a Head of People & Culture based in Singapore.
Mission
The Head of People and Culture takes ownership for combining tools, processes, policies and interactions (like events) that deliver a motivated, engaged, stable and capable workforce for the business to achieve its strategy. By developing and executing the company's human resources strategy in partnership with the General Leadership Team (GLT), this individual will manage the entire employee lifecycle. This is from recruitment and onboarding to development, retention, and offboarding.
Supported by their team, the Head of People and Culture will lead MoneySmart in attracting, developing and retaining top talent and integrating them into an environment with shared values, high employee engagement and sustained high performance.
This role will be reporting into the Chief Operating Officer.
Responsibilities

Talent acquisition: Attract and retain the right talent to support the company's growth and objectives. Implement effective recruitment strategies, employer branding initiatives and partner with leaders to understand business needs sufficiently in advance

Talent management: Build on the current culture of individual ownership of development plans and identify areas to supplement with company-led learning initiatives. Create clarity over progression opportunities for employees and career ladders and thereby improve retention

Performance Management: Improve frameworks for managing performance, increase managers’ understanding and adoption of those frameworks and continuously improve the alignment of reward and performance

Employee engagement and well-being: Enhance employee engagement and well-being through effective communication, recognition, and wellness initiatives. Regularly assess employee satisfaction and implement strategies to improve productivity, engagement and tenure

Compliance and risk management: Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and industry norms/trends within MoneySmart markets, including new developments as they arise. Develop and enforce HR policies and processes that mitigate risk and protect the company from exposure and harm

Organisational culture and values: Take the lead in putting intent into practise and bringing our target culture into reality. Cultivate a strong understanding and adoption of intended culture and MoneySmart's values and mission. Promote a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and accountability

Compensation and benefits: Manage and improve compensation frameworks to best deliver recognition of performance and competitiveness in attracting talent

Organisational structure design: Continually evaluate organisation structure, identifying improvements to keep ownership and accountability clear, and ensure headcount expansion through investment is managed effectively

Excellent communication: Effective communicator who can articulate HR strategies and policies clearly and persuasively to all levels of the organisation, from leadership through to all-hands engagements

Leadership and Organisational Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire HR teams, manage complex projects, and deliver HR initiatives on time and within budget. Strong intuition for finding root causes and delivering appropriate solutions

Employee relations expertise: Strong understanding of employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management. Ability to handle sensitive employee issues with discretion and professionalism

Change Management: Ability to lead and manage change initiatives. Experience in guiding the company through transformations, mergers, acquisitions, and other significant changes
Requirements
- Management experience, with Head of People experience preferred though open to applicants ready to step up into a Head of People role
- Proven track record in understanding talent planning, acquisition and retention
- Familiarity with HR compliance and risk management in Singapore and Hong Kong
- Experience in planning and launching initiatives to drive positive results in the workforce (e.g. higher engagement, better retention, higher satisfaction)
- Experience with leveraging HR technology and data to improve efficiency and outcomes
- Previous experience in a similar industry or fast-growing company is preferred
