This Data Protection Notice (“Notice”) sets out the basis on which EBN (“we,” “us,” or “our”) may collect, use, disclose, or otherwise process personal data of our customers in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”). This Notice applies to personal data in our possession or under our control, including personal data in the possession of organizations which we have engaged to collect, use, disclose, or process personal data for our purposes.

Depending on the nature of your interaction with us, examples of personal data we may collect include your name, email address, telephone number, nationality, gender, date of birth, marital status, employment information, job application materials (e.g., resume, cover letter), device information, and IP address. Other terms used in this Notice shall have the meanings given to them in the PDPA (where the context so permits).

Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Personal Data

We generally do not collect your personal data unless (a) it is provided to us voluntarily by you directly or via an authorized representative, or (b) collection and use of personal data without consent is permitted or required by the PDPA or other laws. We will seek your consent before collecting any additional personal data or using your personal data for a purpose not notified to you.

Job Listings and Applications

If you post job listings or apply for jobs on our Platform:

  • Job Seeker Data: If you apply for a job, we collect and may share your personal data, including resumes, cover letters, and other job application materials, with the employer posting the job listing. By submitting an application, you consent to this data sharing with the relevant employer.
  • Employer Data: Employers who post job listings may be required to provide company details, contact information, and other relevant data necessary to post a job. This data is used to verify and manage their listings.

Other Purposes for Collection and Use

We may also collect and use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Platform Operation and Job Matching: To provide, maintain, and improve the Platform’s job-matching functions and ensure job listings meet user needs;
  • Communication: To communicate with you regarding your account, job applications, and Platform updates;
  • Customer Service: To respond to your queries, applications, complaints, and feedback;
  • Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes;

Protection of Personal Data

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is entirely secure.

Retention of Personal Data

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws. We will cease to retain your personal data, or anonymize it, once it is reasonable to assume that retention no longer serves the purpose for which it was collected and is no longer needed for legal or business purposes.

Transfer of Personal Data Outside Singapore

We generally do not transfer your personal data to countries outside of Singapore. However, if we do so, we will obtain your consent and take measures to ensure that your data continues to receive protection comparable to the PDPA.
