[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Senior Manager in The Sandbox.
[What you will be working on]
As the Senior Manager, you will assist the Head/Director to oversee all related functions and initiatives related to growing the Startup Ecosystem in NP, in order to achieve the objectives of The Sandbox. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Startup Incubation
Develop initiatives to nurture startups, such as:
- Organizing events, networking sessions and training programmes to help the startups grow and upskill their knowledge to manage the business
- Mentoring the startup teams to ensure the businesses are scalable and able to achieve their goals and KPI.
- Facilitating the fund raising process by providing relevant networks and advising the startups on deals such as terms sheets, partnership agreements etc.
Ecosystem Building
Building NP into a development space for startups to grow, such as:
- Sourcing, developing and managing spaces in NP that could serve as incubation space for startups to reside in. This is to ensure that NP always has a healthy pipeline of startups to nurture and grow within the campus.
Grant Management
- Overseeing various grants that NP receives for its incubation activities such as the Startup SG Founders’ grant, the Incubator Grant and the RIE Centralised Core funding grant.
- Leading and driving initiatives that cut across schools and departments to foster a nurturing environment for startups to grow within NP campus, contributing to the larger scope of The Sandbox in developing an innovative and entrepreneurial culture within NP.

- At least 8 years of relevant work experience in a team-based environment, preferably from business and/or entrepreneurship background
- Confident in administrative tasks and has experience in managing programmes/initiatives and mentoring startups
- At least 3 years experience in managing and motivating a team
- Passionate to groom alumni into innovators, entrepreneurs and disruptors
- Proficient in MS Office Applications
