You are responsible for the HR matters of a Business Unit in Singapore, playing a pivotal role in the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives to support the Business Unit in alignment with the business objectives. This role involves building strong partnerships with senior business leaders, collaborating closely with regional HR teams, and contributing to strategic HR decisions. You will oversee key HR functions, foster collaboration in a complex cross-matrix organisational structure, and shape the workforce to meet the organisation's evolving needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Partnership:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing strategic HR insights and guidance to support workforce planning, organisational design, and business growth.
- Collaborate with business leaders and regional HR teams to identify HR solutions that align with business objectives.
- Influence and support strategic decisions related to talent attraction, development, retention, performance management, succession planning, etc.
HR Strategy Execution:
- Work closely with regional HR teams to implement and align country-specific HR initiatives and programs with regional strategies.
- Ensure the seamless execution of regional HR programs across the Singapore BU.
Employee Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention strategies tailored to business needs.
- Lead talent management initiatives, ensuring high-potential employees are identified and developed for future roles.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Under the guidance of Regional C&B leader, manage performance-based rewards, salary reviews and bonus cycles, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Performance and Engagement:
- Manage performance management processes, providing tools and guidance for leaders to deliver effective feedback and development plans.
- Foster employee engagement by partnering with leaders to create a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and innovation.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Leverage HR metrics and analytics to inform strategic decisions and provide actionable insights to business leaders.
- Monitor headcount, workforce costs, and other critical data to ensure alignment with business goals and budgets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of HR experience in a similar setting/industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. IHRP certification is a plus.
- Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and regional HR teams to deliver strategic HR solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore’s employment laws and regulations.
- Experience working in a matrix structure, managing regional HR functions, and leading HR initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and engage at all organisational levels.
