People Operations Director
A NYC based PR and Marketing agency is looking to hire an experienced People Operations Director who can take ideas from conception to execution. We are looking for an analytical, results driven team player with a can-do attitude. This person must be passionate about creating initiatives and instilling procedures that will improve our People team processes which will allow us to enhance employee experience.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), the People Operations Director will be responsible for the strategy and implementation of people programs, policies, and procedures to attract and retain a talented workforce in support of business goals. A problem-solver by nature, you are adept at driving operational excellence, process efficiency, and productivity at scale. You will work collaboratively across multiple functions both inside and outside of the People Team by identifying opportunities for improvement, tackling complex problems, and finding pragmatic solutions – all in an entrepreneurial growth environment. You will partner with leadership and expertly use data and analytics to generate insights, while ensuring all our processes drive fair and equitable outcomes.
The POD is required to be in office 3 days per week
Responsibilities:
- Foster relationships with business leaders (VP/SVP/EVP’s), as well as partners in Operations, Legal and Finance
- Review and revamp our full-cycle employee experience through evaluating our payroll and benefits services to streamline process efficiencies
- Analyze large sets of data and present results that tell a clear and compelling story
- Track People team metrics and trends to help us make informed decisions for our business
- Create and foster an inclusive culture that drives employee engagement and inspires teams to perform at their best
- Lead projects with a focus on deliverables, resourcing, and escalation management
- Maintain a highly visible profile to employees and maintain an open and empathetic disposition for employee concerns and suggestions across our businesses
- Oversee employee experience design; specifically continuing to evolve our culture, DEI programs and hybrid workforce
- Apply discretion to interactions with employees on sensitive issues; show respect and understanding for cultural differences; educate others on the value of diversity and belonging
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of current best practices in promoting a diverse & inclusive workplace and increasing employee engagement
- Charismatic personality with the ability to connect with all levels of the organization.
- Self-starter and influencer who can easily flex and pivot when priorities change
- Domain expertise or thought leadership in surveys, talent, diversity & inclusion strategies, and data analytics
- Understanding of HR processes, information systems, and governance
- Ability to organize, execute on People initiatives and measure impact
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency with MS Office products, engagement survey products, and HiBob & Paylocity
- Project Management skills with the ability to set priorities and timelines
- Ability to analyze and create measurable metrics
Qualifications:
- 7+ years’ experience as an HRBP/ People lead or in a similar role with well-rounded Human Resources Generalist responsibilities
- HiBob and Paylocity experience is a BIG plus!!
- Well versed MS office suite experience
- Demonstrable advanced analytics expertise in Excel or similar data analysis tools
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to confidently present data-centric topics to spectrums of audiences
- Understanding of federal and state laws and regulations, including FLSA, Sec 125, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.
- Familiarity with and the ability to quickly learn and adjust to emerging People related platforms and vendors
NYC Salary Range: $110K - $140K
