We are looking for a Visual Merchandising and Experiential Design Project Manager to support our luxury beauty client. The PM oversees the planning, and execution of visual merchandising and experiential design strategies to enhance the brand image and drive customer engagement. This role requires a blend of creative problem-solving, strategic thinking, and project management expertise to ensure that all initiatives align with the brand's goals, resonate with zones/countries, and deliver a cohesive customer experience. You will partner with cross-functional teams, designers and be the central point of knowledge for all projects.
This is a hybrid role requiring flexibility to work in-office and remotely. Evening or weekend work may occasionally be required during major projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, retail, and design, to align visual merchandising and experiential design initiatives with broader brand goals.
Manage multiple projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to execute visual merchandising and experiential design plans.
Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables daily, resolving issues as they arise.
Oversee the design and development of windows, pop-ups, events, fixtures, and guidelines for retail environments.
Ensure the consistent application of brand standards and guidelines across all visual merchandising and experiential design elements.
Provide insights and recommendations for improvement based on performance history.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Creative Ops, Visual Merchandising, Design, Marketing, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in visual merchandising or a similar role, with a minimum of 2 years in a project management capacity.
Strong project management skills, with experience using tools such as Wrike, SmartSheets, or Microsoft Project.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or similar tools.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
Ability to travel to retail locations as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the beauty, fashion, or luxury retail industries.
Knowledge of sustainable design, merchandising practices and pop up execution.
Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this role is $95,000 to $110,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
This role is based in New York City and is currently operating with a hybrid work schedule with several days per week onsite.
