We are seeking a Temporary HR Coordinator to support our seasonal staff onboarding and manage the HRIS during our busiest time of year. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, including coordinating orientation sessions, verifying documentation, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. Additionally, you will manage updates and ensure data accuracy in the HRIS, troubleshooting issues as they arise and serving as a point of contact for seasonal staff inquiries. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized professional with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.

two so you will be involved in every aspect of the HR role and given the opportunity to take on additional projects as they come up - which they do every day!

Responsibilities
You will be reporting to the Director, Human Resources, and responsible for the following:
- Onboarding + Offboarding Seasonal Staff
- Assist in the hiring, onboarding, and paying all 400+ Seasonal employees with HR Team
- Assist in weekly employee orientations throughout Festival Season
- Tracking onboarding paperwork & compliance requirements (including I-9 verification, harassment prevention training certificates, etc)
- Serve as a contact for seasonal staff during onboarding process, follow up directly with staff who are missing necessary paperwork
- Collaborate with HR team to offboard seasonal team post festival
- HRIS Management
- Manage personnel database and ensure personnel data is synced between HRIS system, time-tracking, and payroll
- Coordinate expense reimbursement process with HR Manager & Finance
- Support HR Manager in time tracking process from enrollment to approval to payment
- Coordinate 1099 freelancer invoice payment with various department managers and Finance
- Communicate with employees on payroll updates, W2 forms, etc.
SKILLS + REQUIREMENTS
- 2-3+ years experience in Human Resources or related field; experience in Payroll and Onboarding a plus
- Experience verifying I-9 documentation
- Professional demeanor and employee-service driven goals while having sensitivity to the confidential and critical nature of HR information and activities
- High attention to detail in order to identify potential issues and work to create solutions
- Experience with BambooHR a plus
SALARY: $900/$1000, weekly
This position is seasonal, running from February through June, and is hybrid -- in the NYC office 2-3x days a week
