Talent Acquisition Manager, US

We seek a Talent Acquisition Manager US to join our team in the US, who will play a pivotal role in shaping our global workforce and preparing the company for future continued growth. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with Hiring Managers, driving the recruitment and onboarding process for both local and global roles based in the US. The position reports to the Head of People Operations, US. While the position is remote, due to the requirements to frequently interact with the European team members, normal working hours will be 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern with flexibility for meetings to accommodate international team meetings and the individual is ideally in the Boston area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the Detective: Collaborate closely with our Hiring Managers (in the US as well as in our central teams in Germany) to uncover the exact requirements and qualifications for open positions. You’ll lead the entire recruiting process for local and global US-based roles, from crafting standout job postings to pre-selecting candidates and coordinating and leading interviews.
- Team player: In addition to working closely with the US People team, you collaborate with Talent Acquisition colleagues, People Partners from other markets, and global functions to ensure smooth recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Source Like a Pro: Build a strong US-based talent pool by utilizing a variety of platforms and networks to identify and approach potential candidates.
- Evaluate Excellence: Assess the technical skills and cultural fit of candidates.
- Candidate Experience Maestro: As the primary point of contact for our applicants, you’ll ensure a 5-star candidate experience from start to finish.
- Seal the Deal: Once you've found the perfect new team member, you’ll negotiate and prepare offer letters or employment contracts kicking off and accompanying an outstanding onboarding experience from day one.
- Onboarding Coordinator: You’ll coordinate the new hires' onboarding process and ensure it is smooth and that the newcomer feels right at home from the start. You'll also partner with the People Operations generalist on long-term onboarding.
- Manage Job Approvals: Oversee and streamline the job approval process.
- Collaborate with Hiring Managers: Build strong relationships to address hiring needs and team growth proactively and advise leaders on hiring strategies, candidate evaluation, and market insights.
- Partner on Compensation: Work super closely with the global Compensation and Benefits team to align offers with market standards.
- Support Long-Term People Strategy: Collaborate with People & Culture to align talent acquisition with business growth and workforce planning.
- Optimize Recruitment Technology and Analytics: Set up and manage an Applicant Tracking System in alignment and coordination with People & Culture Global and provide data-driven insights to improve hiring processes and measure success
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition in a global environment, preferably in consumer goods
- Experience in working in an international matrix environment is required
- Utilize advanced sourcing techniques (e.g., Boolean searches) to identify passive candidates across various platforms (LinkedIn, job boards, etc.)
- Strong ability to assess candidates' technical skills and cultural fit in a global environment
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with a focus on providing a superior candidate experience
- Demonstrated understanding of the key differences between recruiting in different countries, e.g., cultural norms, offer letters and employment contracts
- Experience in effectively negotiating and presenting company benefits to secure candidate acceptance.
- Proven ability to work effectively with teams and candidates from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and global teams in different time zones (e.g. Germany)
