We're looking for a passionate and visionary Director of Product Design to lead our design and development efforts and shape the future of workforce talent acquisition and talent development. This is a unique opportunity to join our leadership team and build the design strategy and team from the ground up.
This is a remote role based in the United States.
Ideal candidates are based in the Greater Boston Area.
Occasional travel is anticipated.
In this role, you will:
- Own and drive the design strategy for our AI-powered HR tech products, ensuring a human-centered approach that focuses on creating intuitive, engaging, and impactful user experiences.
- Lead and scale our design team, attracting and retaining top talent to build a world-class design organization.
- Champion a research-based design methodology, leveraging data and user insights to inform design decisions and optimize product development.
- Collaborate closely with the CPO and with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to ensure alignment and deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Develop and execute a design system that ensures consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all Ignis AI products.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, working with engineering teams to deliver innovative features and functionalities.
- Oversee end-to-end user experiences, from onboarding to advanced interactions, to reduce friction and increase engagement
- Develop UX metrics to measure and enhance user satisfaction and engagement
- Create a culture of design excellence, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment where design thinking is ingrained in all aspects of the company.
- Contribute to the company's overall vision and strategy, leveraging your design expertise to drive growth and impact.
You are:
- A visionary UX leader with a passion for AI-powered solutions, especially within high-growth tech or SaaS environments.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in product design with a track record of success in delivering innovative products to market.
- A seasoned manager with a track record of success in building and scaling design teams.
- Experienced in designing for AI-driven or complex data-rich products
- Deeply passionate about human-centered design and utilizing research-based, data-driven experiences to support learning and development.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- An exceptional communicator and collaborator with strong interpersonal skills.
- An advocate for using technology to solve real-world problems and improve equitable learning and development outcomes for all.
- Prefer working in a fast-paced startup environment, embracing the challenge of building new systems and making foundational design decisions.
- Experienced in managing outsourced resources and demonstrating a flexible approach to resource management to meet changing business needs.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Engineering Psychology or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
