Role Summary: Join Deciphera to lead employee communications and engagement initiatives, enhancing the employee experience and supporting our mission to defeat cancer. This role is based in Waltham, MA, with a flexible mix of in-office and remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's engagement and employee voice strategy, including surveys, focus groups, and culture ambassador programs.
- Serve as the primary HR advisor for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council.
- Manage HR content on the corporate intranet.
- Provide communications leadership for annual people processes and partner with teams to communicate benefits and rewards.
- Collaborate on internal events and programs to enhance employee engagement.
- Lead virtual teams within HR to develop and execute communication and training materials for managers and employees.
- Partner with the Total Rewards team to ensure that employee benefit, rewards, and recognition programs are clearly communicated and understood.
- Work with the L&D Community of Practice to manage external partners and deliver enterprise-wide development programs.
- Plan and produce key internal touchpoints, such as All Hands Meetings, leadership summits, and company-wide celebrations.
- Develop creative programs and events to enable remote-based colleagues to feel connected to Deciphera’s culture and mission.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree; Advanced Degree preferred.
- 5+ years of HR or Communications experience, preferably in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Strong project management and program leadership skills.
- Excellent business and editorial writing skills.
- Ability to present and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Strong MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; graphic design abilities a plus.
- Commitment to operating with high integrity and transparency to build trust with stakeholders.
- Ability to interact with staff at all levels in a demanding environment, remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient.
- Initiative-taking, assertive, and self-confident with strong business acumen.
- Expertise in communications concepts, practices, strategies, and tactics.
- Strong organizational skills and priority-setting to complete assignments on time and on budget.
