Position Summary
The Promotions Team oversees the strategy, planning, execution, and optimization of all promotional strategies to drive profitable growth and consumer engagement. This team works closely with our Suppliers, and internal partners such as Merchandising, Digital, and Marketing leadership to develop best-in-class promotional strategies across all vehicles. The team uses deep category and consumer knowledge to analyze market trends and dynamics, develop promotional events that drive consumer engagement, analyze, and optimize promotional effectiveness, vendor/brand economics and productivities, customer loyalty, and related optimization opportunities across various levers.
The Senior Manager, Promotions Strategy is charged with developing and driving a portfolio of profitable growth initiatives in partnership with Category Managers and Price Value Strategy leadership. Generally, Senior Managers oversee the budget and project execution plan for multiple initiatives. The Senior Manager will report to the Promotions Strategy Director.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience leading strategic/ commercial projects with significant business impact
Preferred Qualifications
- Merchandising familiarity - understanding of retail merchandising basics (i.e., Category Management), and merchandising organizational structures and processes
-Retail/CPG experience and/or experience analyzing large customer / transaction data sets
-Mastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
-Experience using Tableau, SQL and other technical tools a plus
-Ability to concisely present to senior leaders and build trust
-MBA/Masters strongly preferred; Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and/or other quantitative analytical degree

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
