Position Summary:

This important role will be responsible for leading the company’s human resources department, creating a positive candidate and employee experience, ensuring legal compliance, and will work closely with the leadership team to create a fun, people centered work culture. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves and doing the day-to-day human resources work, but also want to work directly with the leadership team to develop strategy, this role is for you. Strong interpersonal skills required with the ability to work closely with staff at all levels and exhibit strong listening, communicating and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will provide support to the organization and upper-level management by overseeing talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee training and development, safety, security and labor law compliance, manage employee relations and will promote a positive work environment and build culture.
Responsibilities/Duties:
· Provide overall leadership and guidance to the organization as the human resources leader by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training and leadership development, compensation and benefits, safety and security and labor law compliance.
· Establish and implement human resources efforts that effectively communicate and support the company’s values, vision and strategic goals.
· Function as a strategic people and culture advisor to the executive team/senior management.
· Establish and lead the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit, hire and retain a superior workforce. Facilitate staffing activities which includes recruitment, selection, interviewing and hiring to ensure hiring aligns with business needs.
· Develop strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of the organization while creating an exemplary candidate experience.
· Manage bi-weekly payroll through a third-party service, preferably ADP and provide backup as needed. Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) is required.
· Lead employee reward and recognition initiatives.
· Manage employee relations issues and escalate to senior management as needed.
· Coordinate all training programs providing necessary education and materials to managers and employees.
· Ensure compliance with company and governmental regulations such as OSHA, OFCCP, EEO and DOL.
· Foster and maintain relationships with third party service providers.
· Streamline department processes, policies, and procedures.
· Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) preferred but not required.
Knowledge and Skill Required:
· Strong human resources generalist experience (five or more years)
· Ability to perform day to day human resources functions and develop strategy.
· Experience with HRIS systems a plus, preferably ADP.
· Experience managing payroll.
· Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally.
· Strong follow up, organizational, and time management skills.
· The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.
· Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
· A strong work ethic.
· Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
· Prior experience in a management or supervisory role a plus.
Education and/or Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related degree
· Five years of related Human Resources experience
· Strong computer skills within MS Office
