Position Information
We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our Luxury Maison North America Sales teams. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to retail leadership, fostering a positive and engaging employee experience that enables high performance in a fast-paced environment.
The HRBP will provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, compliance, policies, and HR best practices, ensuring alignment with our company values and business objectives. In partnership with leadership, HRBP will help drive success by developing people strategies that enhance both employee engagement and operational excellence.
This position reports to the VP of Human Resources, Luxury Maison North America.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary HR contact for retail employees and managers, addressing workplace concerns with fairness and professionalism.
- Investigate and resolve employee relations matters, including performance concerns, workplace conflicts, and policy violations, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
- Provide coaching and training to retail leadership on handling employee relations effectively and fostering a positive work culture.
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to mitigate risks and uphold ethical workplace standards across the U.S.
- Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure adherence to company policies and legal standards.
Strategy
- Collaborate with VP of HR and retail leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives, enhancing workforce engagement and productivity.
- Develop, document, and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Support organizational design and strategic workforce planning to ensure business is structured for success
- Provide data-driven insights on employee trends, turnover, and engagement to inform decision-making.
- Contribute to talent acquisition strategies, succession planning, and retention initiatives.
Talent Management
- Partner with retail leadership to drive a high-performance culture through goal setting, coaching, and continuous feedback.
- Support performance improvement plans (PIPs) and advise managers on effective talent management strategies.
- Identify training needs and collaborate with the Learning & Development team to enhance leadership and employee capabilities.
Culture & Employee Experience
- Promote an inclusive and diverse workplace by supporting DEI initiatives and fostering a sense of belonging.
- Monitor the organizational culture and proactively address challenges that impact employee engagement and well-being.
- Develop and implement initiatives that enhance overall employee satisfaction and workplace culture.
Project Management
- Lead and support organizational change efforts within a retail environment, ensuring smooth transitions through effective communication and employee engagement.
- Manage HR projects, such as policy rollouts, procedural updates, and organizational restructurings, to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure timely completion of HR processes, including documentation, signatures, and compliance-related approvals.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or equivalent is required, PHR or SHRM certification is preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in an autonomous HR Generalist role, supporting retail population. Prior experience in Luxury industry is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, talent development, and compensation practices.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
- Agility and ability to pivot as needed to accommodate business needs.
- Ability to develop strong relationships across many functions and external partners at multiple levels within the organization.
- Operate autonomously – ability to deliver results with little supervision in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment.
- Comfortability with a high volume and evolving work environment.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Customer service – quick and accurate responses to employee inquiries and needs
- Advanced Excel skills is a must. Proficiency in ADP, Success Factors, SharePoint, MS Office.
