The HR Generalist will focus on higher level Generalist tasks particularly in the area of employee relations. The team currently includes an HR Manager, HR Generalist, and they are looking to add an HR Generalist Employee relations experience is a major plus for the Sr level role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary issues
- Facilitate conflict resolution and provide guidance on company policies and procedures
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to improve employee satisfaction
- Payroll Administration: Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
- Maintain payroll records and ensure timely updates for new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status
- Collaborate with the finance team to resolve payroll discrepancies and audits
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate employee records and prepare reports as needed
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Support recruitment efforts by screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding processes
- Develop and maintain onboarding programs to facilitate smooth transitions for new hire
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs. Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
7 yrs+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role, with a focus on employee relations, payroll, and union environments.
Strong knowledge of labor laws, payroll processes, and contractor agreements. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
