Job Description: Head of Global Mobility – India & ASEAN Regions

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Global Mobility to lead and manage our mobility programs across India and ASEAN regions. This strategic role will involve overseeing end-to-end mobility solutions, ensuring compliance with global standards, and aligning mobility practices with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in international assignments, immigration policies, tax regulations, and employee experience while demonstrating a strong understanding of the cultural and operational nuances in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global mobility strategy for the India and ASEAN regions, aligned with the organization’s global business goals.
- Collaborate with regional and global HR teams to support workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning.
- Mobility Program Management:
- Oversee all aspects of international and regional assignments, including permanent transfers, short-term and long-term assignments, and commuter arrangements.
- Ensure a seamless employee experience throughout the relocation and mobility lifecycle.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with immigration laws, tax regulations, and labor laws across the region.
- Partner with external advisors and internal stakeholders to mitigate risks associated with international assignments.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with business leaders, HR partners, and finance teams to align mobility solutions with organizational needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for mobility-related inquiries in the India and ASEAN regions.
- Vendor and Budget Management:
- Manage relationships with relocation providers, tax consultants, and immigration partners to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Monitor and control the global mobility budget for the region, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Employee Experience and Communication:
- Develop and implement programs to enhance the employee experience during assignments, including cultural integration and repatriation support.
- Design communication strategies to educate employees and stakeholders about mobility policies and procedures.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of global mobility trends and best practices to enhance program effectiveness.
- Leverage technology to streamline mobility processes and improve reporting capabilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in global mobility, with a significant portion of that time spent managing mobility programs in the India and ASEAN regions.
- Proven expertise in immigration, tax compliance, and cross-border employment laws.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making.
- Proficiency in using global mobility technology and tools.
