Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic HR Head with over 10 years preferably in retail sector. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, driving talent acquisition efforts, and fostering a high-performance culture. This role demands a proactive leader who can manage end-to-end HR functions, employee relations, and organizational development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Planning: Collaborate with business leaders to design and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals, including those specific to retail stores and the head office. Provide insights into workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management to ensure business continuity.
- Talent Acquisition, Retention & Staffing: Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for store staff, managers, and regional teams, ensuring timely and effective hiring. Implement strategies for high-volume hiring to meet retail outlet staffing needs. Develop retention initiatives to reduce attrition and enhance employee engagement.
- Performance Management: Design and implement performance appraisal systems and continuous feedback mechanisms. Drive performance improvement plans and facilitate training programs to enhance productivity.
- Employee Relations: Act as the point of contact for resolving employee grievances and disputes. Ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies to mitigate legal risks.
- Learning & Development: Identify training needs and design tailored learning programs for employee development. Collaborate with management to establish leadership development frameworks.
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiatives: Promote a culture of inclusivity and equity throughout the organization. Develop and monitor diversity programs and policies to create a diverse and collaborative workforce.
- Store Operations Support: Partner with store managers to streamline HR operations, including scheduling and resource allocation. Address workforce challenges such as attrition, absenteeism, and seasonal staffing requirements.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with labor laws, audit requirements, and corporate policies. Maintain robust systems to mitigate legal risks and ensure operational integrity.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years of HR experience preferably with 4+ years in retail industry.
- Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven track record of driving employee engagement, retention strategies, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in HRIS tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
