Purpose of your Role
Local Talent & Engagement Leader with the objective of improving levels of talent engagement and productivity and support business growth through appropriate people practices in the region
You will be accountable for (key responsibilities)
- Develop and drive deep and trusted relationships in the region, and play a talent consulting role to local and global leaders
- Responsible for execution of a broad range of HR services to ensure the people strategies in the business are aligned to corporate goals:
- Review & prepare the forecasting of manpower requirements for the year and review per quarter outlook projections based on business needs, projected attrition, and expected location movements.
- Track adherence to budget and take corrective actions in case of deviations.
- Liaise with business to review the staffing pyramid structure.
- Provide inputs into recruitment plan development including fresher to non-fresher mix, channels to be used etc.
- Interview candidates for critical positions and assess candidate fitment into role and organisation.
- Act as HR Consultant, analyse, insights derived from data analytics (productivity, span of control) & build cost efficiencies.
- Drive key projects in the areas of Talent management, winning mix/ diversity, ESAT at workplace and various other areas to ensure best employee experience.
- Prepare and provide wherever required, direct and indirect insight to business teams on complex HR issues, to include employee relations, talent development, retention, and recruitment strategies, with the ability to recognize and involve specialist members of other resources within HR where appropriate.
- Review and study metrics received on various factors like employee engagement, attrition, headcounts, vendor costs, investments required in employees etc.
- Design and deliver creative HR solutions that assist in sustaining a positive working environment to foster employee engagement.
- Work closely with business heads to understand organisation imperatives and prepare Business HR key imperatives for relevant people processes based on historical data, business requirements and priorities. This is a strategic role which contributes to defining the direction of the operating plans based on the business strategy, with a significant impact on the Business Unit’s overall results.
- Partner with internal and external global stakeholders such as Legal, Internal Communications, International Operations and other groups to ensure business continuity in the region, and to develop plans to mitigate the impact o unforeseen factors that could impair the local business to perform.
- Ensure smooth HR Operations in Italy:
- Ensure policies being enforced are in line with the Europe region labour and employment framework
- Ensure compliance in the region by creating and defining processes and participating in internal and external audits and ensure good working relationships with unions
- Managing various aspects of the employee lifecycle like onboarding, offboarding, employee relations cases etc.
- Play the role of an engagement champion in the Europe region. Conceptualise and drive initiatives in partnership with the leadership and also track effectiveness and impact on engagement in the region.
- Manage the corporate social responsibility initiatives in the region
- Hiring, budget utilisation and presenting solutions to the business in the region

You have (experience, qualifications & certifications)
- MBA or a post-graduate degree with experience range of 10-15 years
- Experience in the Telecommunications sector would be an advantage
- Experience and knowledge of European employment laws is essential
- Fluent English & Italian is required with any additional languages being a ‘nice to have’
