HR Operations - Employee Services Functional Lead

The Manager, HR Operations – Employee Services is now fully dedicated as the Functional Lead for core HR processes during our multi-month Employee Experience Program (EEP) and the implementation of Workday and ServiceNow HR.
This temporary cover position will collaborate with the EEP project team, HR Business Partners, HR Information Systems, HR Operations Delivery, and other HR specialists to enhance employee experience through exceptional HR service provision. The role will focus on establishing service standards, ensuring global consistency, and improving service efficiencies for HR clients, including employees, partners, business operations, and HR Centres of Expertise.

As a trusted advisor to business services teams across all locations and functions, you will provide advice and implement changes to help our teams excel and deliver outstanding client service, gaining a broad range of experience for your career.
Key Responsibilities
As the Employee Services Functional Lead cover, you will be the subject matter expert for employment and life cycle processes. Your role is to equip employees and the HR Business Partnering team with the tools needed to deliver high-quality Employee Experience.
- Managing the Core HR processes functional stream, including scoping, planning, delivering, tracking, and reporting against milestones with Centres of Expertise and HR Business Partnering
- Determining requirements and functional design with stakeholders to ensure business needs are accurately captured, understood, and delivered
- Collaborating with the EEP project team, HRIS, and HROD to shape process and support requirements, including creating end-to-end process documentation.
- Managing the impact of local/jurisdictional requirements on processes, balancing global consistency with local relevance in partnership with the HR Compliance and Governance Manager
- Identifying risks and tracking mitigating actions, escalating as appropriate, including those related to shared resources and data privacy
Qualifications and skills
- 5-7 years of experience managing HR processes in mid/large-scale organisations with global reach.
- Experience in a global law or professional services firm (preferred), and familiarity with multi-tiered service delivery models and agile methodologies
- Experienced project manager with a proven track record in large-scale, multi-stream implementation projects; Project Management qualification (CAPM, Prince2, PMP) preferred
- Knowledge of the employee life cycle, HR delivery best practices, and experience on operations projects, preferably with Workday and/or ServiceNow HR.
- Proven ability to understand project dependencies across diverse office, jurisdictional, legal, and technology setups
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise a varied workload with multiple stakeholders and shifting demands
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels
- Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, flexibility to adapt and handle multiple large/global projects with minimal supervision, and a high degree of confidentiality

Location and Reporting
This role is based in our London office, and reports into the Associate Director, HR Operations.
Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week.
