The Role
We are looking for an
Internal Communications Manager to join our Communications team, playing a key role in connecting our people to our purpose and strategy and bringing our culture and values to life through impactful and innovative communications and activations.
In this exciting role, you'll enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and will be empowered to think strategically and creatively to plan and deliver multi-channel communications that reach and engage our whole club across our three sites.
You'll lead on multiple projects, adapt to shifting agendas, shape messages and communications to tight deadlines and you'll be entrusted to work with colleagues across all levels and departments of our club.

Your day-to-day
- Story-tell through compelling and meaningful content - you'll create a calendar of comms and engagement activities that connect and engage colleagues with our club purpose, strategy and culture
- Create and deliver effective communications plans - you will proudly be the first point of contact for internal communications briefs and you'll advise stakeholders on rollout plans, providing a holistic view of communication activity across our club
- Bring information to life in a way that's authentic to our brand - you'll eagerly make effective and creative use of our digital and offline channels, including internal platforms and newsletters, to ensure consistency in our tone of voice and alignment to our brand guidelines
- Manage all internal communications channels - you'll diligently make sure all internal channels are kept up to date with the latest news and information from across our club, continuously evaluate their effectiveness, and identify opportunities to elevate and evolve them to enhance our colleagues’ experience and drive engagement
- Champion data-driven decisions - you will use data and insight gathered from internal communications channels, feedback surveys and our internal employee engagement survey to inform communications plans and content
- Deliver unforgettable events that only we can - you'll work closely with our Senior Internal Communications Manager to deliver key internal events and employee experiences, including our quarterly club-wide ‘Be Together Forums’
- Maintain two-way dialogue with our people - you will proactively provide opportunities for colleagues to share their feedback and play an active role in and stay connected to our Culture Working Group and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
- Collaborate with teams across our club - you'll team up with a range of colleagues, working particularly closely with our Employee Experience, Marketing, Content, Technology, Internal Events and wider Communications teams to generate content, deliver events and elevate the employee experience, keeping our people at the heart of everything we do

- Passionate about internal communications - you've worked extensively in internal communications and are excited by our mission to connect our people to our purpose, strategy and culture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - you will be able to tell great stories across a variety of platforms for a diverse audience across different sites
- Creative thinker - you relish the opportunity to come up with fresh and innovative ways to engage colleagues, grasping our brand guidelines and tone of voice to ensure we are aligned with how we show up for our supporters externally
- Effective multi-tasker - you thrive in fast-paced environments and can handle multiple workstreams simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines
- Curious and proactive mindset - you actively stay across the latest internal communications tools and trends and you're always looking to explore new ways of doing things and experimenting with different content formats and channels
- Natural collaborator and networker - you build and nurture positive and impactful relationships with people at all levels
- Industry knowledge and interest - you ideally have a good understanding of the football industry and our place within it
