The VP of Talent Management and People will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and values. This role will oversee all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, and organizational culture. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong track record of driving transformation and fostering a positive work environment.
Role and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a people strategy that supports the organization’s business objectives and drives a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams to diagnose organization effectiveness issues, collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data as part of that analysis, generate human capital recommendations to address performance gaps and build required capability, and craft high impact implementation plans.
Talent Acquisition & Management:
- Lead the talent acquisition strategy to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in talent management, and leverage industry benchmarks and data to inform and enhance the company’s talent strategy and initiatives and engage with external partners as needed to help drive our strategy forward.
- Manage new employee orientation/onboarding program to provide new hires with the tools, resources, and support to become quickly acclimated to their positions, the organization, and its culture.
Employee Engagement & Culture:
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance organizational culture in support of the company’s values, and design and implement programs that enhance employee engagement, recognition, retention, and workplace well-being.
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Ensure competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain talent.
- Regularly review and update compensation structures and benefit offerings to remain competitive in the market.
Risk Management & HR Operations:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and manage a team that oversees day-to-day HR operations, including benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, and HR policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
- Proven experience in leading and managing all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and organizational culture.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and translate business goals into HR initiatives.
- Experience in leading HR in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
