About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Talent Management & Development Manager to join our HR team at our Florham Park, NJ office. In this key role, you will enhance HR programs and processes, foster a positive employee experience, focus on employee development, and collaborate closely with business leaders and the HR team to effectively support and manage employees. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proficient in talent management practices and learning & development theories, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where hands-on involvement is valued.
What You Will Do:
Talent Management
- Partner with HR Business Partners and leadership to implement strategies for employee development and talent retention.
- Assist in the design and execution of talent review processes, including succession planning and top-talent employee identification.
- Implement succession planning frameworks to ensure key roles have ready pipelines of talent.
- Conduct talent reviews and support the identification of critical roles and development plans.
- Monitor and analyze talent management metrics (e.g., turnover, internal mobility, skill gaps) to inform decision-making and program adjustments.
Talent Development
- Assess organizational learning needs and implement impactful learning programs.
- Develop, coordinate, and evaluate training programs, including leadership development, management workshops, professional development courses, and skill-building sessions through blended learning solutions. (i.e., instructor-led, eLearning, virtual, or hybrid)
- Facilitate employee assessments and individual development plans to align career aspirations with PCS needs.
- Manage mentoring programs, coaching initiatives, internship programs, and internal career paths to foster employee growth.
Performance Management
- Lead the design and execution of performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and evaluation frameworks.
- Collaborate with managers and HR Business Partners to refine and manage performance review processes.
- Provide training and resources to managers on giving effective feedback and conducting performance conversations.
- Monitor the effectiveness of performance management initiatives and recommend improvements.
Employee Engagement
- Support engagement surveys and focus groups to understand employee needs and design actionable plans.
- Analyze engagement survey results and partner with stakeholders to implement action plans.
- Act as a resource to employees for questions related to career development opportunities.
Other Responsibilities
Contribute to cross-functional HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Who You Are:
- 5-7 years of experience in talent management, employee development, or a related HR discipline.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with experience working across diverse teams and cultures.
- Experience in designing and implementing talent development programs.
- Proficiency in HRIS and LMS platforms.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable outcomes.
- Project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field. (or equivalent work experience).
