HR Business Partner – Tech & Change

Middlemore have been retained by an elite financial services boutique in London to appoint a HR Business Partner, for a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a unique opportunity, reporting into the HR Director, working for an outstanding business with an impressive heritage which boasts single % attrition, recognised as one of the most desirable places to work in the SME financial services community.
Partnering with the business (tech & change client group) to ensure great HR fundamentals are in place to deliver high standards within the entire colleague lifecycle, protecting the service they provide to their customers.
Coaching, supporting and challenging leaders in change and transformation to ensure that projects land right first time from a people perspective, so that our colleagues are able to continue to deliver the highest quality of service.
HRBP responsibilities;
- Partner with business to develop and implement people elements to department strategies that support the bank’s overall goals.
- Provide HR advice, challenge and guidance to senior management and line managers throughout the colleague lifecycle (including workforce planning, recruitment, talent management, performance management)
- Triage key people issues as they arise and ensure they are dealt with by the relevant person in the People team.
- Develops trusted relationships and partnerships through integrity and authenticity and is clear about the outcomes that are important to key stakeholders.
- Provide coaching and guidance on complex employee relations issues.
- Hold department compensation and benefits reviews
Change & Transformation
- Utilise knowledge and experience to contribute ideas into the creation of the People Strategy.
- Programme management responsibility for the People Strategy including Workforce Planning, OD etc
- Support and deliver on critical people change and transformation activities integrated within the bank’s strategy.
- Provide challenge to ensure that change being delivered is aligned to the Vision and strategy of the Bank, as well as providing the most effective cost solutions.
- Provide guidance on ways to look Continuous improvement (People Team and beyond) in line with the Bank’s simpler, faster, better strategy.
- Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging trend in change management.
- Proven experience as a senior HR professional with a successful track record in a complex and fast-paced organisation.
- In-depth knowledge of HR practices
- A strong understanding of business strategy and the ability to translate it into a people strategy.
- A passion for building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- A strong strategic mind with a focus on innovation and data-driven decision making.
Candidate background;
- Experience working in small-medium sized organisations would be advantageous.
- Experience working in financial services, legal, fintech environments would be preferable but not mandatory
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- HR Business Partners who have change & transformation experience (Individual contributor)
- Experience working on change projects – reorgs, target operating model, talent management and development, workforce planning etc.
