About The Role
As the Director of People & Talent, you will be a key strategic partner to leadership, driving initiatives that foster a high-performance culture, operational excellence, and exceptional employee experience. You will own everything from talent acquisition and onboarding to performance management and organizational design, ensuring our People function scales effectively with the business.
What You'll Do
- Oversee HRIS, payroll, benefits, and compliance, ensuring seamless operations and legal adherence.
- Automate and integrate HR systems to improve efficiency in onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle management.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Design and implement a seamless onboarding experience, setting new hires up for success.
- Collaborate with leadership to execute career development, succession planning, and workforce planning strategies.
- Own the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing to onboarding, ensuring a best-in-class candidate experience.
- Manage your own requisition load, sourcing, screening, and extending offers to candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers and leadership to define headcount needs and optimize hiring strategies.
- Manage performance improvement processes, ensuring low performers are coached or transitioned appropriately.
- Lead initiatives to cultivate a high-energy, values-driven culture, fostering inclusivity, engagement, and retention.
- Design competitive compensation structures to attract and retain top talent.
- Provide strategic input on organizational design as we scale, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, contributing to key People & Talent decisions.
- Build credible relationships at all levels of the organization, deeply understanding short- and long-term business objectives.
- Use data-driven insights to refine People strategies and enhance recruitment effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with 5+ years in recruiting and 5+ years in an HR role, in high-growth startups.
- Experience leading end-to-end HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and compensation.
- Proven ability to recruit for diverse roles, including technical, clinical, and corporate positions.
- Strong understanding of payroll, benefits, HR compliance, and best practices.
- Data-driven mindset—experience tracking recruitment and HR program metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and executing in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience with HRIS, ATS, and other HR tech tools to streamline operations.
