Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT/IS PMO professional to lead, coordinate, and oversee technology-driven initiatives in a fast-paced fintech environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, cross-functional team collaboration, and a keen understanding of information security (IS) practices within the fintech industry.
Key Responsibilities
Program and Project Governance:
- Define and implement best practices for project management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Establish standardized processes, tools, and frameworks for IT and IS project execution.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with leadership to prioritize and align IT/IS projects with business objectives.
- Drive the delivery of key initiatives, such as software development, infrastructure upgrades, and cybersecurity enhancements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate between development, operations, compliance, and business teams to ensure seamless execution of fintech projects.
- Act as a central point of communication for stakeholders, addressing dependencies and resolving conflicts.
Performance Monitoring:
- Establish KPIs to measure project and program success, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
- Provide regular status updates, dashboards, and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Plan and allocate resources effectively, balancing team capacities and project demands.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring optimal utilization and financial efficiency.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance project delivery, team productivity, and organizational agility.
- Implement lessons learned and feedback mechanisms to refine processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in IT/IS project management. Prior experience in Fintech or financial services is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, CISM, or equivalent preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of fintech systems, regulatory landscapes, and emerging technologies.
- Expertise in agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project).
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance frameworks.
