Position Summary
The Project Employee, HR Communications, collaborates across HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver consistent employee-facing messaging across the League. Reporting to the Director of HR Communications, this position will lead high-priority projects and operational tasks from end-to-end. This includes supporting logistics for All Hands meetings, crafting content for the newsletter, maintaining intranet pages, managing the communications calendar, handling email distributions, ensuring internal brand alignment, driving LinkedIn engagement, and addressing ad hoc requests.
We are seeking a versatile communicator who excels at managing multiple projects, driving operational efficiency, and supporting execution in a fast-paced environment. This role primarily involves in-person engagement with internal and external partners.
This is a temporary position with an expected duration not to exceed (10) months.
Major Responsibilities
- Streamline processes and partner with COE leaders to support the execution of communications campaigns from end-to-end, including All Hands meetings and launching systems and talent-focused initiatives.
- Develop and execute employee-facing communication plans and strategies to support employee engagement initiatives.
- Manage BAU communications, such as recurring newsletters, year-end and mid-year communications, and Respect in the Workplace Training communications.
- Oversee general email distributions, maintain content libraries, distribution lists, and the communications calendar.
- Write, edit, and distribute content for newsletters, intranet updates, emails, and digital signage.
- Ensure all HR communications are consistent and aligned with the League’s corporate brand identity, strategic direction, and best practices.
- Drive LinkedIn engagement to reinforce the employee value proposition.
- Enhance operational efficiency by implementing and managing new HR communications processes and systems.
Required Education / Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in corporate communications, HR communications, or related roles contributing to employee experience.
Required Skills / Knowledge Attributes
- Exceptional business writing and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Adaptability, creativity, and problem-solving skills to address dynamic business needs.
- Detail-oriented with proven project management and event coordination experience.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Proficiency in managing social media platforms, content creation, and audience engagement.
- Skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint (executive-level presentations) and Adobe Illustrator (creating visually appealing content).
Salary Range: $37/hour - $40/hour
