The Role
We are looking for an Associate HRBP to provide support for our HRBP teams. You will partner closely with HRBPs to bring HR programs and initiatives to completion. You will collaborating with cross-functional partners to oversee and deploy projects both within specific business units and functions, as well as company-wide programs. You will also partner directly with employees and managers to answer questions, facilitate trainings, run cyclical HR programs and processes. You will also help innovate and improve these programs as we continue to scale. Success in this role means helping HRBPs turn ideas into reality and effectively coordinating and delivering impactful programs with high employee engagement.
You are self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership for driving work forward, effective at projects management for multiple parallel projects, very detail-oriented and organized, and have experience being adaptable in a fluid, high-growth environment.
You will provide support across our Block Risk team. The Risk organization is a global team of around 3000 full-time and contract employees.
You Will
- Deliver local and global project work to support HRBP client groups including team reorganizations, talent reviews, team-building exercises, M&A work, and policy design.
- Partner with employees and managers in the business and resolve roadblocks to help set individuals and teams up for success.
- Escalate concerns outside of your scope from managers and employees to ensure they are connected to the appropriate resources they need.
- Create, prepare, and help analyze data and reports to leverage information in HR programming for the business.
- Execute on both administrative and project-based work across various HR programs (i.e. performance evaluation process, promotion cycle audits, and bi-annual Pulse surveys).
- Develop highly effective and collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams, both locally and globally, such as HR Operations, Learning & Programs, People Analytics, Office Experience, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, IT, and Security.
- Build expertise in HR processes and suggest changes to improve efficiency, scalability, and employee experience.
- Complete regular audits and other necessary administrative responsibilities as needed.
You Have
- 3+ years of HR, operational, project management, and/or program management experience.
- The ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment with changing demands.
- Strong judgment, including escalation to appropriate parties for consultation as needed.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a successful track record of implementing processes that scale.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal), with an ability to build partnerships and establish rapport and credibility at all levels.
- Ability to work independently to manage multiple ongoing projects and programs with high attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Exceptional ethics around confidentiality and highly sensitive information.
- Refined problem-solving ability, with the ability to find pragmatic outcomes.
- Proficient in tools such as Google Suite, excel formulas, pivot tables, and other analytical resources to summarize data and provide recommendations.
Preferred
- Experience working with HR systems (e.g. Workday, Visier, Glint)
- People operations or generalist experience
