The Role

As the Head of People, you will report to the Co-Founder & CSO and the Head of Staff. You'll play a crucial role in shaping and evolving our organizational culture. You will be responsible for managing the HR functions, addressing the challenges of rapid growth, and implementing strategies to foster a positive and productive work environment. Your role will be pivotal in supporting our team, scaling our operations, and driving our mission forward.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s goals and values.
Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing candidates, interviewing alongside hiring managers, selection, and offer negotiation.
Partner with leadership and managers to develop and manage a career development toolkit.
Manage payroll and benefits administration as the main point of contact with providers.
Address and resolve employee issues, mediate conflicts, and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
Enhance company culture to ensure a positive and inclusive work environment.
Implement and analyze HR metrics to drive decision-making and improve organizational performance.
Collaborate with leadership to support company growth and align HR practices with business objectives.
Lead initiatives for employee engagement and retention, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, staying updated with best practices in HR management.
Develop training programs that enhance employee skills and support career advancement.
Facilitate performance appraisal processes and provide guidance on performance improvement plans.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in HR, with a proven track record in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Proven Experience in Recruitment and Talent Management
Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and organizational development.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Experience with HR systems and tools, data analysis, and HR metrics.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment with shifting priorities and challenges.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) preferred.
