An exciting opportunity has arisen—we are looking for a passionate and dedicated People & Culture Coordinator to join our growing COYA family!
About the Role:
As a People & Culture Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the People & Culture team, ensuring a seamless and engaging employee experience from recruitment to offboarding. You will be responsible for HR administration, employee relations support, and fostering a workplace culture that reflects COYA’s core values. This role is perfect for someone who is proactive, highly organized, and passionate about people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support in the hiring process, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
- Facilitate onboarding and induction programs to welcome new team members into the COYA family.
- Organize employee engagement initiatives and cultural events to enhance workplace morale.
- Serve as the first point of contact for team member queries, promoting an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Champion COYA’s values of fun, family, innovation, passion, and culture in all People & Culture initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with UK employment law.
- Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Track key milestones, such as probation periods, appraisals, and development plans.
- Draft HR-related correspondence and document templates.
- Coordinate training sessions and support employee learning and development programs.
- Provide administrative support in employee relations matters.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to drive continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a People & Culture/HR role, ideally within a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a people-first mindset.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems (experience with HARRI is a plus!).
- A proactive and positive attitude with a passion for improving people policies, processes, and practices.
- Solid understanding of UK employment legislation.
- Empathy, discretion, and emotional intelligence when handling sensitive matters.
- Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available for this role).
