Our expert team delivers AI strategy and bespoke production-grade solutions that allow clients to rapidly realize value. We stand apart because we implement our AI strategies into production quickly, safely, and responsibly.
Outside of our virtual walls we are painters, foodies, cocktail connoisseurs, musicians, crossword-doers, athletes, dungeon masters, non-profit board members, and more. We’d welcome the opportunity to meet you.
As Head of People, you will be a key member of our senior leadership team, responsible for designing and executing our people strategy. You will oversee all aspects of HR, including recruitment, talent development, culture, and compliance, while collaborating cross-functionally to support our company's growth.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Developing and executing a people strategy that aligns with business objectives
- Acting as a strategic partner to leadership, providing insights on talent planning, org design, and employee experience
- Driving initiatives that foster an inclusive, innovative, and high-performance culture
- Managing our in-house Senior Recruiter and overseeing the talent acquisition process
- Collaborating with Delivery teams and Senior Leadership to identify appropriate headcount and new hire needs
- Working with our Marketing team on employer branding strategies to attract top AI and machine learning talent
- Ensuring our recruiting process adheres to best practices around DEI, our company values, and attracting the best possible talent
- Owning most HR processes, including onboarding, off-boarding, performance management, and compliance. Our finance team handles payroll and we outsource benefits admin to Bennie
- Maintaining and improving HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration (leveraging tools like BambooHR, Gusto, and Bennie)
- Ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices across domestic operations
- Leading cultural engagement efforts aligned with our core values: Inventive, Caring, Inquisitive, Open, and Trustworthy
- Developing initiatives to enhance employee experience, including offsites, learning programs, and DEI initiatives
- Acting as a trusted advisor for employees, resolving conflicts and facilitating professional growth
- Designing and implementing career paths, leadership development programs, and manager training
- Providing strategic guidance on compensation, promotions, and employee growth opportunities
- Maintaining and improving a feedback-driven performance review process that supports continuous learning
- Continuously refining processes to enhance efficiency and employee experience
- Acting as an IT admin in some regards, managing some systems, tools, and security for our remote-first team
What we're looking for:
- Many years of experience overseeing HR, people operations, and talent acquisition within a high-growth, high-end consulting environment
- Proven ability to build and scale people operations from our current 40 employees to hundreds of employees
- When you hear the word “culture” you get excited to share your POV on what kind of culture makes a high-performing team high-performing. You’re an advocate for psychological safety, DEI, and going out of your way to care for every individual on a team as a person first - not just an employee
- You’re a people person and one of your core strengths is awareness: situational, self, and emotional. You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Strong understanding of employment law, compliance, and best practices
- Experience leading HR functions in AI/ML companies is a plus
