Position Overview
Converge Marketing, a 20-year-old boutique performance marketing powerhouse, is seeking a Director of Performance Marketing to its growing team. With a client list that includes AAA, ATT, Leaf Home, Erie Home, Converge is on a fast track to growing its impressive client portfolio through performance innovation and is looking for the industry’s most dynamic, performance marketing talent to join our high energy team.
As we continue to grow rapidly in this fast-paced industry, we are seeking a Director of People Operations and HR to drive our people strategy and operational efficiency. This pivotal role will manage all aspects of human resources and internal operations, ensuring seamless execution of HR processes while optimizing organizational workflows to support our ongoing expansion.
Key Responsibilities
As the Director of People Operations at Converge, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company culture and driving our human resources strategy, especially in a performance-driven agency environment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- HR Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and Manage HR Operations: Oversee day-to-day HR functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, performance management, and employee development, with a focus on the unique needs of a high-growth, performance-driven agency.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with department heads to design and execute strategies that align with the agency’s growth objectives, particularly in attracting and retaining top talent for our marketing, analytics, and creative teams.
- Performance Management Systems: Oversee employee performance management systems, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans, to ensure alignment with the agency’s KPI/OKRs and client outcomes.
- Compensation and Benefits: Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs, including overseeing our relationship with the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) Extensis, ensuring all HR functions and payroll are maintained efficiently.
- HR Compliance and Policies: Provide guidance on HR policies and compliance, ensuring adherence to labor laws and company policies while fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture.
- Internal Operations & Process Optimization
- Workflow Optimization: Identify opportunities for streamlining and improving internal workflows and operational processes to enhance efficiency and scalability across the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional projects to optimize the integration of marketing, creative, and data teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
- Operational Compliance: Oversee operational compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies, managing agency-wide initiatives to improve productivity and resource allocation.
- KPI Development: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of internal operations, focusing on maximizing output and quality in a client-focused environment.
- Remote Workforce Management: Manage and support remote employees, ensuring they are integrated into company culture and operations effectively.
- Time Tracking & Resource Allocation: Implement and oversee time-tracking systems and processes to ensure accurate employee allocations by project and department, enabling data-driven decisions around resource planning and budgeting.
- Employee Engagement & Development
- Culture Building: Foster a positive and inclusive culture that promotes high performance, creativity, and collaboration, ensuring that employees feel empowered and motivated.
- Employee Wellness and Development: Drive initiatives to support employee wellness, work-life balance, and professional development in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Training Programs: Collaborate with leadership to implement training and development programs tailored to agency teams, focusing on both technical and soft skills.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution of conflicts and enhancing employee satisfaction and retention.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize HR technologies and data analytics to inform decision-making and optimize HR functions.
- Metrics Reporting: Prepare regular reports on key metrics such as employee turnover, performance, client outcomes, and operational efficiency.
- Strategic Recommendations: Present actionable recommendations to senior leadership to optimize people management and internal processes.
- Change Management & Growth Support
- Scaling Support: Support the agency’s scaling efforts by managing change effectively, ensuring that HR practices and internal operations evolve with the agency’s growing needs.
- Initiative Leadership: Drive and support key agency-wide initiatives, such as new technology rollouts, organizational restructuring, and onboarding of new clients or teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement and innovation in HR and internal operations to stay ahead of industry trends and client expectations.
- PEO Management and Payroll Oversight
- PEO Relationship Management: Oversee the relationship and ongoing maintenance with our PEO partner, Extensis, ensuring all HR services are delivered effectively.
- Payroll Oversight: Provide oversight of payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and addressing any payroll-related issues promptly.
- Benefits Administration: Manage benefits programs in conjunction with the PEO, ensuring competitive offerings and smooth administration.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
- DEI Leadership: Champion DEI initiatives to create an inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and respected.
- Strategic DEI Implementation: Develop strategies to promote diversity in hiring, retention, and professional development across all departments.

- Extensive Experience: Over 10 years of experience in HR and/or operations management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in a performance marketing or digital agency environment is a significant advantage, but we also value transferable skills from other fast-paced industries.

Compensation: From $135,000 to $160,000 per year
