Responsibilities
In line with Maison’s long-term strategy, we are recruiting an Indian country manager to oversee the Indian subcontinent. He or she will be responsible to develop and implement the Maison’s strategy in this market to reach the Maison’s business and financial objectives and develop brand equity in the market. These will include:
- Managing sales & operations
- Marketing communication including local execution
- Client acquisition and development
- People and partner management
- Real estate development
- Team development
Reporting to: Brand Manager, MEIA
Location: Delhi, India
Business development
- Propose annual budget and set sales targets
- Define Network strategy and recommend marketing action plan in collaboration with Dubai Regional team to achieve sales objectives
- Develop and expand corporate and B2B partnerships, with a focus on tapping into the growing wedding market in India
- Conduct Real Estate market research & gather competitive intelligence
- Identify strategic opportunities for new boutiques and POS and build the related business case
- Alongside the team, monitor POS performance and propose actions plan on how to achieve quantitative and qualitative objectives and KPI’s
- Work hand in hand with the team to implement a sell-out strategy and activation plan per account
- Ensure regular reports are submitted accurately and timely
- Recommend and execute strategy for the country in line with regional and global guidelines and objectives
- Manage financial aspects of budgeting/ phasing, P&L along with local finance controllers to ensure Financial KPI’s are met
- Ensure client service excellence and efficiency of after sales service
- Develop network through all channels (Wholesale, TimeVallee, Boutique, Ecom) in the country
- Establish strong relationships with partners in an omnichannel approach and manage locally
Network local strategy
- Propose, implement and manage and multi-brand strategy for the country (and boutique for the future), in line with local objectives and international guidelines
- Bring forward leadership to motivate local retail, sales and partner teams and create unique experience
- Manage Wholesale growth alongside the team (organic and possible expansion)
- Initiate action plans to Identify, develop and upgrade local clientele
Marketing and Communication Strategy
- Work hand in hand with the local & regional team and local partners to develop a local communication strategy to recruit, develop and build the Maison’s equity in the market.
- Alongside the local Baume & Mercier team define and implement coop actions plans with partners across all platforms (ATL, CRM, PR, events)
- Monitor effectiveness of communication activities and develop constantly to maximize ROI
- Oversee the implementation of local events plan ensuring best execution and image for the Maison’s
Point of sale, operations
- Realize field visits to evaluate operations and monitor compliance to the brand guidelines in terms of visual merchandising, assortments, pricing…
- Lead, train & guide point of sales/boutique managers & staff
- Implement correct point of sale structures with Partner
- Follow up on the staff training within the network and customer service implementations
Manage the Baume & Mercier team in India
- Develop and manage the Baume & Mercier team in India
- Define and communicate the mission and objectives to the team, establishing priorities and assessing performance
- Develop a positive and entrepreneurial employee relations environment
PROFILE
- Strong background in brand management and commercial planning in luxury retail industry with a multinational company
- Min. 5 years of experience in a managerial position
- Previous experience in account management is a plus
- Exposure in development of marketing plans and retail operations
- Experience of working on complex cross-functional projects with defined timelines and engaging with various stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, ability to demonstrate resourcefulness and manage ambiguity
- Min. Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university
- Computer literate with experience in using word, excel, and power point
- Good knowledge of Indian business & culture
- Fluent in Hindi and English languages
