Role Overview:
As the Manager of Communications for Singapore, you will play a key role in shaping and executing strategic communications initiatives to support the market’s growth and transformation agenda.
Reporting to the APAC Communications Director, you will develop and implement both internal and external communications/ social media strategies, focusing on employee communications, employee engagement and employer brand building.
You will serve as the primary communications lead for the Singapore business, ensuring alignment with the market’s broader strategic objectives and fostering engagement with key stakeholders across multiple levels.
You will partner with the People Director in Singapore to implement and execute on Employee Engagement Programs.
You will also be responsible for managing communication metrics and insights, to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement in all communications efforts. Strong cross-functional collaboration with business and functional stakeholders is critical to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Communications:
- Develop and execute internal communications strategies to build a more engaged workforce.
- Support senior management in the development of messages and content for internal audience.
- Develop and manage communication assets such as content for intranet and e-newsletters.
- Drive initiatives that promote employee engagement, recognition, and retention, using creative communication approaches to reach diverse audiences.
- Manage internal communication channels, including town halls, dialogue sessions, presentations to drive engagement across the business units.
- Create compelling and engaging internal narratives with the aim to raise the awareness, understanding and visibility of Inchcape’s vision, mission and values and get employees excited about working at the company.
- Lead the delivery of HR communications plan and partner with stakeholders to develop HR-related content.
External Communications:
- Oversee content development and social media strategies to build external brand visibility and engagement on the corporate website or LinkedIn.
- Enhance Inchcape’s corporate brand and public image through Employer of Choice stories or Inchcape Culture stories.
Job Requirements:
- University degree in communications, public relations, business administration, or related fields.
- Over 10 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, storytelling/writing, content asset creation.
- A strong and excellent writer. Editorial experience in internal publications or corporate website, would be helpful.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to drive results across diverse initiatives.
- Proven track record in managing stakeholder relationships and aligning communications with business objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a passion for driving organizational success through effective communications.
