Overall Purpose of The Job
This role is responsible for developing and executing internal communication initiatives that align with the organisation's strategic goals and promote employee engagement. The Internal Communications Manager/Senior Manager will work closely with senior leadership, HR, and other departments to support organisational development efforts, including change management and culture building.
Key Responsibilities
- The scope of responsibilities includes but not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies aligned with the organisation’s strategic goals, values and business objectives
- Create and deliver engaging content through various internal channels (e.g., intranet, newsletters, emails, town halls, videos) to inform and inspire
- Partner other internal stakeholders to create and deliver effective and engaging content in support of business objectives
- Manage and build the SPH Media intranet into an effective internal communications channel
- Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure that internal communications are timely and relevant
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications, and make recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis
- Identify opportunities to promote employee engagement and help foster a positive company culture
Job Profile
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with preferably at least 5 years working in corporate communications, employee engagement or marketing role, experience in internal communications a plus
- Experience with the media industry, companies with multiple brands a bonus
Required Competencies
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work cross-functionally with teams across the organisation.
- Experience in content creation and delivery, including emails, newsletters and intranet content
- Results-oriented with attention to detail
- Self-motivated, work well independently and in a team
