Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Talent Champion: Provide hands-on guidance and strategic support across talent management for our portfolio companies, ensuring they have the right frameworks and best practices to build robust, thriving teams.
- Sourcing Exceptional Talent: Develop and execute strategies to source top-tier talent for critical roles across diverse, hard-to-reach industries. This includes leveraging specialized networks and creative sourcing techniques beyond conventional platforms.
- Empowering Founders: Guide founders in developing high-impact HR strategies and processes, building a supportive and productive work environment that aligns with their vision and culture.
- Strategic Talent Mapping: Lead initiatives to map high-potential talent aligned with our investment focus, ensuring our talent network is as visionary as our portfolio companies.
- Founder Development & Profiling for Investment Decisions: Conduct in-depth profiling of founders, assessing their strengths, growth areas, and leadership potential. Feed these insights directly into our investment decision-making to help us identify and support high-impact founders who are not only skilled but aligned with our mission and values.
- Growth and Alignment: Collaborate with our leadership to design and implement our internal talent strategy, directly contributing to our growth trajectory by building a high-performing team.
- Crafting Playbooks for Success: Create comprehensive playbooks that outline best practices for talent acquisition, development, and retention across our company and our portfolio companies. Topics may include employer branding, sourcing strategies, interview processes, and onboarding.
- Market Insights and Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of talent trends and produce thought leadership content to position us as a prominent voice in this space, sharing your insights monthly with the broader community.
- Adapting to New Challenges: Tackle additional mission-critical projects that arise, showcasing your flexibility and commitment to our strategic goals.
Success Metrics
Success in this role will be measured by key metrics, adding the top talent and future founders to our network, including time to fill positions, portfolio founder satisfaction, and overall retention and engagement within our network.
Qualifications: Education / Technical / Experience
● Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Studies, Industrial Psychology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
● 5–7 years’ HR experience, with 3+ years in talent development.
● Management experience and tech start up knowledge (advantageous).
● Strong strategic planning and change management skills.
● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
