The Head of Human Resources is responsible for the overall management of HR, Training and development activities of the company including developing, implementing HR and training initiatives and development strategies, engaging managers and stakeholders in determining resource and training needs of the staff and working with relevant parties including senior management staff in matters relating to HR resource planning, personnel management, payroll, talent and succession planning.
Responsibilities:
- People Management of 6-8 team members
- Act as a Strategic HR Business Partner to Country President and Senior Leadership Team
- Roll-Out HR Initiatives that aligns with Regional goals
- Management of the payroll functions of the company
- Leading HR Team to operate the day to day HR operations of the company including personnel management and records, reporting (internal and statutory), leave, recruitment and managing discipline and industrial action
- Responsible for the whole spectrum of HR resource planning activities including manpower planning and budgeting
- Responsible for building of performance culture
- Responsible for building of employees engagement
- Responsible for Employees Relations activities
- Responsible for HR Optimization and HR Efficiencies
- Staff performance management activities and management of compensation and benefits, remuneration
- Development, implementation and review of HR policies and procedures
- Participate in relevant ERM and OSHA committees and includes coordinating safety and health issues for staff
- Management of training initiatives and activities
- Coordinate and manage the implementation of regional Talent Management and succession planning initiatives and strategies and work/engage with managers to compile and monitor high potentials and successors
Experience required:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a senior management role
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels
- Strategic mindset and perspective, comfortable with ambiguity with the ability to diagnose current state, anticipate future needs and recommend forward approaches.
- Good understanding and practical application of local employment law and HR practices, and familiar with the emerging HR trends
- Collaborative, agile and resourceful
- Comfortable in operating in a matrix structure, as well as a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- Resourceful and possess strong initiative to drive changes
- Strong mindset for continuous improvement and service excellence
