What we expect from you
Key Responsibilities
People:
- Ensure fair and compliant rotas, respecting store strategy and legal requirements, with the support from the Operations Manager and Store Manager.
- Monitor employee hours and productivity across all areas of the store, providing reports on performance and advising on corrective actions as necessary.
- Analyze HR KPIs (e.g., ETO, Absenteeism, Overtime, Retention) and develop action plans for improvement.
- Coordinate payroll changes with Payroll and Regional People Manager.
- Forecast store recruitment needs and coordinate recruitment activities, including placing adverts, CV screening, organizing interviews, and providing feedback.
- Ensure an effective induction process for new employees, collaborating with the management team.
- Develop and maintain a training calendar to ensure managers conduct regular 1:1 meetings and provide the necessary support for team development.
- Drive ongoing training and development initiatives based on store needs.
- Identify talent and track employee progress to support succession planning for the store, region, and country.
- Promote employee well-being through engagement and support.
- Ensure Morning Meetings and store meetings are conducted with meaningful content, creating content where no guidelines are set.
- Ensure compliance with terms and conditions within permanent and fixed-term contracts, addressing any non-compliance issues.
- Embed HR policies and procedures in the store and ensure ongoing training to maintain legal compliance.
- Provide support and coaching to managers in handling Employee Relations (ER) meetings according to company guidelines and best practices (e.g., Flexible Working Requests, Return to Work meetings, Performance Management, Attendance, Investigations).
- Ensure effective internal communication within the store and participate in management meetings.
- Monitor, identify, and resolve issues affecting team morale or performance, driving motivational and engagement initiatives.
- Ensure all compliance areas are met and documentation is kept up to date according to company guidelines.
- Provide training as required according to store needs.
- Maintain up-to-date Health & Safety (H&S) certifications and ensure welfare areas are well-kept to support employee well-being.
- Action the Regional Checklist according to company expectations and implement action plans as needed.
Process:
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure the proper coverage of store processes, reviewing employee performance and resource needs regularly.
Product:
- Work with the Product Manager to maintain store image and support commercial actions.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to acquire and train talent for commercial roles.
Experience:
- Partner with the Experience Manager to implement concrete store actions aimed at improving service levels and overall customer satisfaction.
- Organize regular morning meetings with the Experience team and collaborate on creating staff training plans.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
- High attention to detail.
- Initiative in identifying and solving problems proactively.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with a focus on personal development and taking ownership of responsibilities.
- Interest in and understanding of applicable labor laws.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Commercial awareness.
- Ability to positively influence and persuade others.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: Previous experience in HR, People Management, or a related field, ideally within a retail or customer-facing environment. Proven experience in managing teams and HR processes (e.g., recruitment, training, employee relations).
- Education: A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with HR software, employee performance tools, and labor laws.
