Senior HR Operations Specialist

The Senior HR Operations Specialist will report to the Head of HR and be an integral member of the HR Team to effectively support the manufacturing site in day to day HR operational matters. He/she will provide HR services including but not limited to HR administrative support, recruitment, payroll, employee welfare benefits management, employee relations and retention as well as support training and development, performance and talent management, and employee engagement initiatives. The Senior HR Operations Specialist will support the roll out of HR initiatives for continuous improvement of employee engagement to meet business strategies. He/she will be actively working with other members in the HR Operations team in close collaboration with HR Business partner, business stakeholders, HR Center of Expertise team (ie TA, L&D) as well as the Global HR Shared Services team.He/she will provide HR services including but not limited to payroll, training and development, performance and talent management, recruitment, employee relations and retention and HR administrative support and reporting matters. The “Senior HR Operations Specialist” will support the roll out of HR initiatives for continuous improvement of employee engagement to meet business strategies.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the smooth running of day-to-day HR operations at the manufacturing site in adherence to local labor and statutory laws, relevant HR policies and procedures
- Provide operational HR support related to recruitment, new hire onboarding, off-boarding, payroll, employee welfare benefits, HR administrative support, training and development, performance and talent management
- Contribute to the development, roll-out and monitoring of HR policies/ programs and employee engagement initiatives in compliance with company’s values and behavioral standards
- Support employees in consultative guidance on HR policies, practices and employee relations matters
- Ensure monthly payroll reports are submitted to local payroll vendor and Finance team in accurate and timely manner
- Support recruitment activities as assigned by Senior HR Operations Specialist to ensure that recruitment needs are met in accordance with organizational manpower plan
- Assist with recruiting events such as career/job fairs as well attend recruiting events (ie. industry talks at universities/colleges) and industry conferences
- Maintain and build effective relationship with employees, internal and external key stakeholders and provide reliable HR service delivery
- First point of contact for employee relations matters while working closely with the Senior HR Operations Specialist on investigation, resolving and mediating employee concerns, grievances or disputes
- Support preparation and submission of monthly, yearly and ad hoc HR Management reports and internal/external HR related surveys
- Ensure HR data integrity and accuracy of data and records in HR databases (SAP, SuccessFactors, e-Leave Management System, Employee Master Data) and HR admin processes (personnel files, work pass application/renewal, etc)
- Support and evaluate continuous improvement of innovative HR process, policies and strategies Support HR initiatives and HR projects in collaboration with other HR Team members
Your Profile
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or equivalent
- At least 6 years of work experience in day to day HR operations, recruitment, payroll, employee relations, performance and talent management etc.
- Experience working in manufacturing operations environment is preferred
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding expectations in a results-measured environment delivering effective stakeholder management and outstanding customer service
- Experience working with SAP HCM, payroll or other data management systems is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge and experience in local employment laws and current HR practices/trends
- Strong critical thinking aptitude, constant learning, self-motivation and discipline are a must
- Results driven individual that demonstrates analytical thinking, problem solving skills, innovation and flexibility in managing ambiguous situations.
- Excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and to work effectively across all levels in a dynamic and fast growing environment with a strong focus on personal accountability, strong work ethic and integrity
- Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with discretion and sound judgement
- Prior experience in start-up environment will be an added advantage
