LinkedIn’s R&D Finance Team is seeking a Senior Manager of Business Operations and FP&A who is a passionate, strategic, analytical and hands-on leader to provide finance support to our Developer Platforms and Experience org. The DPX team is a newly created team within Engineering focused on creating tools and experiences that will ensure the rest of the R&D organization is as productive as possible and has the strategic capabilities that LinkedIn requires.In this exciting role, you will create the finance partnership with this new team and focus on helping the team deliver on its charter.
The role is highly cross-functional, blending strategy & execution, creating clarity and speed to execution of needle-moving corporate priorities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about solving highly complex ambiguous operational questions within LinkedIn’s R&D team, and has exceptional business acumen and the skills to operate autonomously to identify, prioritize, partner, influence and implement high-impact change.
Responsibilities:
- Drive data-driven analysis, size opportunities, develop understanding of key drivers to identify areas of improvement and prioritize strategic opportunities for the DPX team
- Collaborate with internal FP&A teams and cross-functional partners to lead and support strategic analyses to address the evolving business dynamics of the DPX team
- Create, track and analyze operating metrics for the DPX team, generating insights on team performance.
- Manage the annual planning, recurring forecasting cycles, and month-end close processes, providing valuable insights and analysis.
- Influence and manage senior leadership, synthesize exec-ready communications, providing thought leadership to align on the vision prioritize investments
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of general work experience, including 3+ years of experience in management consulting, business operations, strategy consulting, financial planning & analysis or equivalent roles
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or other advanced degrees preferred
- Able to have a strong, independent voice to push teams’ thinking, influence leaders on direction, while able to build trust-based relationships to drive alignment
- High-energy, team-first, positive attitude, autonomous: Must be motivated to work hard in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills: Need solid written and verbal communications skills and presence to be able to facilitate discussions and communicate insights with senior-level leaders.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrated experience to multi-task and shift priorities quickly under pressure and tight deadlines
- Demonstration of critical thinking, ability to question the output of a financial model and consider options for improvement or provide thoughtful alternatives

The pay range for this role is $146,000 to $237,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
