Location: Crawley, West Sussex - In Person
Job Purpose: To manage all Human Resource requirements across the company

We now seek an experienced Part Time HR Manager to assist with our ambitious growth plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
· To implement the People Strategy to meet business objectives and company growth plans.
· To undertake project work to support the development of HR practices & processes as part of delivery of the People Strategy.
· To ensure that all HR policies and procedures are up to date and maintained and are available to staff within the employee handbook where appropriate and that senior personnel are aware of any legislative changes that directly impact them or their teams.
· To advise and guide managers through performance management issues ensuring that all managers have the requisite skills and knowledge to expedite performance management procedures.
· To develop a strategy, policy and process for the recruitment & selection of new staff.
· Creating job descriptions, person specifications and a competency based recruitment process (assisting managers to develop competency based interview questions)
· Ensuring line managers have the skills and knowledge required to recruit prospective employees
· Participate in interviews as and when required
· To facilitate the employee induction process ensuring that where possible all new employees receive a company induction on their first day with the company and managers conduct a departmental induction within the first week.
· To create (in conjunction with line managers) training & development plans to deliver solutions & interventions that develop skills at all levels and provide guidance on development for managers and their teams
· To offer practical 'hands on' support for management with any HR issues, developing & progressing people management solutions to achieve company objectives.
· To support the application of HR policies & practices, providing advice & guidance on complex HR issues in order to minimise risk & financial exposure.
· Demonstrating proven experience in managing complex employee relations cases
· To manage the Company Employee Benefits and Pay Review process.
· To manage the HR software with onboarding, holiday, visa etc
· To manage all types of employee absence in conjunction with line managers, ensuring that in the case of sickness absence, the company sickness process is followed, return to work interviews are conducted and both short and long term sickness absence are managed appropriately and in accordance with company policy.
· To assist managers with all employee relations issues including disciplinaries, capability and grievances.
· To undertake any other activity commensurate with the role.
Person Specification
Educated to GCSE level.
CIPD qualified desirable.
Extensive experience gained as an HR Manager providing a generalist HR service within an SME.
Solid understanding of HR Policies and procedures.
Previous experience of performance management.
Extensive experience of recruiting and selecting staff.
Knowledge of procurement/supply chain/logistics desireable.
Good understanding of employment law.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage own time and prioritise tasks.
Strong people skills; ability to relate to people of different cultures and staff at all levels.
Ability to work under pressure.
Self- motivated.
Confident in taking decisions and making suggestions.
