How does the role impact the organization?
Raymond James Ltd. is seeking a Bilingual Training & Development Specialist to join the Private Client Group (PCG) team in a hybrid workstyle capacity in our Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver office. The Learning & Development Specialist will enhance the competencies of employees by designing and conducting branch-training programs that will boost employee’s workplace performance in line with the company’s core values. You will be responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing, delivering curriculum, learning materials, and managing all phases of branch training. A variety of learning materials will be created, including job-aids, e-learnings, microlearnings, newsletter articles, videos, and more. You will also be required to facilitate workshop-style training sessions.
What will your role be responsible for?
- Collaborate with PCG teams and RJL Divisions to identify target audience’s training requirements and needs;
- Develop, create and deploy a variety of types of learning materials;
- Write/produce standardized business process user manuals (job aids);
- Assist with layout, editing, and organizing of content as required;
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training by measuring and evaluating feedback from participants;
- Design assessments for verifying learner knowledge and capability and provide summarized reporting;
- Deliver training courses;
- Deliver “ad hoc” training as required/scheduled for new recruits across the Raymond James’ business lines;
- Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes;
- Stay abreast of the new trends and tools in employee development; and
- Other duties as assigned.
What do we expect from you?
- 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role and scope;
- Experience in the financial services or brokerage industry required;
- Fully proficient in French (written and oral);
- Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles;
- Proven ability to master the full training cycle;
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques;
- Ability to apply adult learning principles;
- Experience with multiple delivery methods, including e-learning initiatives;
- Experience in training or classroom environments;
- Excellent proficiency in business process concepts (i.e. workflow diagrams, process mapping techniques), e-learning software (Articulate Storyline), and Zoom, etc.;
- Experience utilizing a learning management system (LMS).
Education:
- Bachelors degree in a related field of study;
- Post-secondary education in learning principles and/or certification in adult continuing education or instruction.

Salary Range: BC (based on Education, Work Experience, etc) $60,000-75,000 in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.
