Position Scope
The Learning & Development Project Specialist will work within the Learning & Development team to support the design, development, and delivery of internal and external training for the CMiC product suite, company tools, and professional development programs. This role combines Instructional Design and Development with Project Management, ensuring that training initiatives are effectively scoped, planned, and executed, particularly for projects involving external vendors.
Key focus areas for this role include designing and developing training materials, coordinating project timelines and deliverables, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. This position requires a hands-on approach, incorporating aspects of Instructional Design, E-Learning Development, Graphic Design, and Content Creation, while also overseeing the logistics and execution of training projects.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute revolving project plans, keeping tasks on schedule and completing projects on-time and under-budget.
- Adhere to established design standards while liaising with SMEs, third-party vendors and other team members to ensure precise alignment, clear communication, and timely delivery of materials and content
- Ensure projects are completed successfully each phase, using sound practices, and following established design standard
- Provide updates and consistently keep Director of L&D up-to-date with project status and issues that require intervention or escalation.
- Manage project timelines and milestones using best practices to ensure the timely completion of training initiatives and provide consistent updates to the Director of L&D on project status and any issues that require intervention or escalation.
- Design course content from raw source material. This can include learning strategies, objectives, blueprints/storyboard, scripts, course content, assessments, and experiential learning activities.
- Develop and provide training materials (worksheets, guides, quizzes, etc.), learning curriculum, modules, programs, and activities as outlined in the design documentation.
- Create supporting material/media (audio, video, gamification, etc.) to enhance engagement and learning effectiveness.
- Create E-learning courses containing a variety of training materials.
- Conduct testing, quality assurance, and iterative improvements on learning materials, ensuring they meet CMiC’s standards for quality and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on trends in instructional design, educational technology, and learning theories.
- Experiment with new (AI) tools and techniques to improve instructional methods.
Requirements
- At least 2 years pf experience in Instructional Design, Education, and/or Learning & Development.
- Strong knowledge of education and adult learning is required.
- PMP certification and/or at least 2 years of project management experience, with proven ability to balance multiple projects independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to create lesson plans, visualize their execution, and understand each lesson’s role within the broader curriculum.
- Strong design sensibility, exceptional attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and highly effective organizational abilities.
- Exceptional ability to conduct self-testing and ensure quality control through processes, demonstrating a strong commitment to maintaining high standards in execution.
- Ability to identify opportunities and propose timely, effective solutions.
- A strong aptitude for quickly learning new technology, products, and concepts.
- Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills to work within the team.
- Proficiency in Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is required.
- Experience creating SCORM-compliant files or other e-learning content is required.
- Experience with graphic design work is required.
- Experience with Camtasia is a plus.
- Experience with Docebo or similar Learning Management System is a plus.
- Experience with the CMiC platform and products is a plus.
