Job Summary:
We’re seeking a tech- and business-savvy Social Media Manager with 4-5 years of experience in beauty or related industries. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytics, and brand storytelling to grow our presence across all social platforms, including Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube. With an emphasis on community building and content creation, you’ll take ownership of our social strategies and execute engaging campaigns across three accounts—Marvis, Proraso, and Bigelow Trading.

Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy & Execution
- Deliver with disciplined consistency by crafting and executing social strategies to engage and inspire our growing community.
- Develop captivating content to build and grow online communities while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
- Help shape and maintain a unified media strategy across owned, earned, and paid channels while optimizing organic social presence.
- Stay ahead of trends and platform updates to keep strategies fresh and relevant.
Content Creation & Scheduling
- Plan, shoot, and edit engaging visuals, including photography and video content.
- Design stills, videos, stories, reels, and pins that resonate with our audience.
- Build platform-specific strategies that leverage each platform’s strengths and align with the overall marketing ecosystem.
- Use tools like Later, Canva, and Meta Business Suite to schedule and manage posts effectively.
Engagement & Community Management
- Foster relationships with brand communities by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
- Actively listen to and interact with the community.
- Plan Instagram Lives and virtual events to strengthen brand connections.
- Excel at developing engaging content, building communities, and attracting new audiences.
Marketing Calendar & Campaign Management
- Collaborate on a unified social media and marketing calendar to align campaigns, launches, and promotions.
- Execute campaigns with a focus on performance, impact, and seamless coordination.
- Develop strategic plans across key categories and promotional events to drive relevance and conversion.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track, report, and analyze metrics such as reach, engagement, and conversions.
- Use consumer insights to amplify organic and influencer content via paid channels to maximize impact.
- Deliver weekly and monthly reports with actionable insights for growth and improvement.
- Promote constant learning through campaign analysis and optimization.
Trend Monitoring & Competitor Analysis
- Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and competitors to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Inspire bar-raising ideas to enhance social strategy and brand storytelling.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
- 4-5 years of experience managing social accounts, ideally in beauty or lifestyle brands.
- Proven track record in social media, including content creation, amplification, in-depth reporting, and measurement.
- Proficiency and fluency in Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, LTK, and social tools (e.g., Canva, Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social).
- Strong photography and video editing skills (Photoshop, Premiere Rush, InDesign).
- Strategic and analytical yet highly creative, with a passion for beauty, pop culture, and digital trends.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, entrepreneurial spirit.
Additional Details:
- Approximately 90% of your time will focus on DTC accounts (Proraso and Marvis).
- Must be comfortable dedicating 2-3 weekends per year for brand activations/events.
- Hybrid schedule: West Village office (Mon-Thurs), Remote Fridays.
