You have examples of the business impact your tenure has driven and you are proud to share those achievements. You will prioritize understanding the details of the business and not just abdicate responsibility to direct reports. You are a true player/coach who knows when to delegate, and when to get your hands dirty.

About The Role:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be a pivotal member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing the company's operations and ensuring the effective execution of our strategic goals. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the COO will play a critical role in scaling our operations, optimizing performance, and leading our transition from an early-stage startup to a later-stage SaaS company.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Strategy and Execution
- Execute CEO's vision and strategy for future growth.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's mission and values.
- Design and deploy best in class business operational policies that will drive our business and culture forward.
- Oversee the daily operations of the company and the work of executives in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Human Resources, and Finance departments.
- Oversee and help reinforce the behaviors that make up our culture and values and hold people accountable when they do not.
Leadership and Management:
- Direct reporting structure will be based on the candidate's experience but may include all operational business unit owners and include some dotted line reporting.
- Grow, lead, motivate and operationalize leaders to foster employee engagement and develop a high-performing management team.
- Provide mentoring and support to team members, encouraging collaboration and innovation.
- Analyze and interpret performance data and metrics
SaaS Growth and Development:
- Leverage experience in scaling SaaS operations from early to later stages.
- Implement strategies to drive customer acquisition, retention, and growth.
- Optimize subscription models and pricing strategies to enhance revenue.
Financial Performance:
- Assist the CEO in fundraising ventures and manage relationships with partners and investors.
- Collaborate with the CFO to develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring effective resource allocation.
- Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) using data analytics.
- Develop operational strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability.
- Own and drive planning & execution based on the CEO's strategic vision.
Process Improvement:
- Build and develop the company's operating system and internal processes to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Identify opportunities for automation and streamline operational workflows.
- Implement best practices across the organization to improve overall performance.
- Drive greater company efficiency based on best of class Saas benchmarks and implement process improvement with Ai.
Technology and Innovation:
- Stay abreast of industry trends.
- Understand technology trends and oversee product development and infrastructure.
- Ensure operational readiness for new product launches and updates.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity.
- Develop and maintain crisis management plans.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive Operating Experience: Proven track record in high-growth B2B2C SaaS businesses.
- Scaling Expertise: Successfully scaled SaaS operations from $20M ARR to $50M+ ARR.
- Market Focus: Experience in SMB and mid-market businesses is preferred but not required.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in telehealth, beauty, wellness, or aesthetics is a plus.
- Team Building: Demonstrated ability to hire top talent and implement high-functioning teams with thoughtful organizational design for effective execution.
- Adaptability: Skilled in navigating fast-changing market environments as a pioneer in the space, while collaborating with diverse and passionate personalities.
- Process Leadership: Proven history of developing and executing organization-wide goal-setting and operational processes.
- Financial Acumen: Relentless focus on balancing growth with profitability, ensuring strong unit economics and long-term sustainability.
- Stakeholder Communication: Exceptional emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate and own communications with key stakeholders, including business leads, the board, and the founder, to drive business results.
- Operational System Expertise: Familiarity with The Table Group's operating system (e.g., Patrick Lencioni's The Five Dysfunctions of a Team and related works) and the ability to implement these principles to create cohesive, high-performing teams.
