About The Role
As an Innovation Manager at Dopper, you are responsible for fostering and guiding innovation within Dopper to move the business and brand forward. You will lead the development of new products and solutions. These align with our mission to end packaged water by getting people to drink tap water. You will work closely with teams across the company to bring your ideas to life, from initial concept to final product.
The main focus will be to drive forward innovative projects that help Dopper grow while making sustainability a priority in everything we do. You will be the go-to person for new ideas, testing, and improving our products.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Drive the Innovation Strategy Identify market trends and customer needs, to define and drive the Dopper product innovation roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Ideation and Concept Development Facilitate brainstorm sessions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate innovative concepts and product ideas. You will also provide frameworks and tools to promote a forward-thinking mindset.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis Conduct market studies, analyze competitors, and gather customer insights to validate and refine concepts and product ideas.
- Product Development Oversight Work closely with R&D, brand, and engineering teams to bring innovative ideas to life, ensuring brand fit, feasibility, financial viability and alignment with company standards.
- Business case management: Develop and manage business cases throughout the total innovation project incl. KPIs for new products.
- Prototyping and Testing Together with the R&D-manager, oversee the creation of prototypes, packaging and coordinate testing with stakeholders and customers to gather feedback and make improvements.
- Innovation process management: Own and manage the Stage Gate Innovation process and its governance.
- Project Management Manage project plan/briefing, timelines, budgets, and resources for innovation projects ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope and monitor the performance post-launch and use insights to shape future innovations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as a bridge between marketing, sales, operations, and R&D to ensure seamless integration of new products into the market. Monitor the performance post-launch and use insights to shape future innovations
- Stakeholder Communication Present innovation plans, progress, and outcomes to key stakeholders, building support and alignment across the organization.
About You
You’re driven by sustainability and love turning bold ideas into reality. With experience in product development or innovation, you thrive on finding creative solutions to challenges. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you know how to unite teams to make things happen.
You’re hands-on, solution-oriented, result driven, and ready to create new products that meet the market’s needs and also move our brand and mission forward.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience within product innovation, design, and/or development, ideally in sustainability-focused companies.
- Creative and strategic thinking.
- A positive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to change.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Used to be a project owner/lead.
