Position Overview:
Verra Mobility’s Commercial Services business unit is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Human Resources to lead the HR function for its European business. This role is based in Amsterdam and is a key member of the cross-functional European Management team that spans about 10 different countries with around 80 employees. The Director, Human Resources will play a critical role in providing thought partnership for the Management Team members as well as shaping and executing HR strategies for the European-based population that support our business objectives and foster a positive and productive work environment. This role has a matrixed reporting relationship between the Commercial Services VP, Human Resources and the GM, Europe and has an HR Generalist role reporting into it that is also based in Amsterdam.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the business goals and objectives of the European operations.
· Talent Management: Oversee talent development and retention programs to ensure the business attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
· Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment through effective employee relations practices, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives.
· Performance Management: Manage performance appraisal processes to drive high performance and continuous improvement.
· Compliance: In partnership with Legal, ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations across all European countries.
· Compensation and Benefits: In partnership with Corporate Total Rewards, help manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain employees.
· HR Policies and Procedures: In partnership with Corporate HR and Legal, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that support the business and comply with legal requirements.
· Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives that create an environment that enables everyone to perform at their best.
· HR Metrics and Reporting: Utilize Lean problem-solving methods, metrics, and analytics to inform decision-making and provide insights to the management team.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the European management team, including being a proactive thought partner, to support business initiatives and drive organizational success.
Qualifications:
· Influencing: Experience working with and influencing business leaders, including consulting on employee relations, leadership development, change management, and related strategies preferably for 5 or more years.
· Broad HR Experience: Has experience working within an HR Business Partner model that requires working knowledge, and a broad understanding, of many technical HR fields such as talent, total rewards, employee relations, compliance, etc.
· Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills aligned to lean principles and methods.
· Delivery Agility: Flexible work style and approach based on client needs/style and HR partnership.
· Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and ability to build relationships across geographies, job levels, and functions.
· Business Agility: Strong mindset for continuous improvement and meeting or exceeding client expectations.
· Project Management: Proven project management and operations skills with demonstrated ability to manage global projects and initiatives.
