Purpose of the role
You'll be responsible for creating and implementing the Talent Acquisition Strategy for Bidvest Noonan based on proactive direct sourcing and digital attraction.
The strategy will focus on creating a compelling and authentic employer brand, ensuring we recruit the very best talent who embody our Credo and ultimately creating a business that everyone wants to work for. You will lead a Talent Acquisition Team to provide expert knowledge and find creative solutions to ensure a top tier talent pipeline is created and vacancies are filled quickly, the candidate experience improved and the cost to hire reduced.
Key Accountabilities
- Create and lead a Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence, which delivers talent acquisition and recruitment services across GB and Ireland. Develop a team of recruitment professionals who have direct sourcing capability and work in partnership with HR Colleagues to develop end-to-end talent strategies to meet current and future skills needs.
- Design and deliver a Talent Acquisition Strategy and Delivery Model which is scalable across all markets, and directly sources the majority of our candidates through a strong digital recruitment solution which meets the recruitment needs of Bidvest Noonan. Leverage market data and internal data to inform strategies and interventions. Including but not limited to, LinkedIn, social media and our own careers web presence.
- Work with key stakeholders in HR and the Business to develop an Employer Brand Strategy for Bidvest Noonan and design and execute robust candidate attraction methods to improve brand awareness and to build a compelling but authentic employer brand.
- Create and nurture internal and external talent pools of qualified candidates which leverages our investment in social media and our brand.
- Work strategically with other members of the HR Leadership Team to drive an integrated approach to workforce planning, talent and succession, equality, diversity and inclusion and resourcing.
- Lead the Talent Acquisition Team providing coaching, development and direction to create a high performing team.
- Ensure each of the Resourcing Business Partners and Consultants have a clear recruitment plan to directly source talent for their vacancies ensuring the filling of vacancies directly is at the required level.
- Produce regular performance analytics and solutions to continually improve recruitment performance which includes achievement of agreed KPI’s and SLAs.
- Design and manage the delivery of a best-in-class employee recruitment experience, identifying and implementing opportunities for a better candidate experience, operational excellence and efficiency.
- Strive constantly to improve the quality of applicants, time to hire and the interview to offer conversion ratio on all hire
Experience required
- Designing and transforming existing and /or new Talent Acquisition functions and strategies (specific experience of building in-house direct sourcing capability), successfully managing change with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrable track record in having successfully led a Talent Acquisition Team in a comparable business.
- Building business specific talent acquisition strategies, across different countries and multi-site teams.
- Successful track record of having built an employer brand in a comparable business.
- Developing and implementing innovative solutions at an operational and strategic level.
- Expertise in the use of social media, job boards and LinkedIn recruitment tools.
- Has successfully selected, deployed and managed an Applicant Tracking System.
- Significant experience of coaching and developing managers and Senior Managers in recruitment methods and best practice
- Working in collaboration with and as a part of senior HR leadership teams
- Knowledge of best in class recruitment tools to enhance the employee experience, vacancy fill rate and decrease turnover.
- How to embed and measure equality, diversity and inclusion in talent acquisition practices.
- Team leadership and development skills.
- Strong business acumen and ability to partner with business leaders to achieve business objectives.
- Employer Brand Strategy Development and delivery.
- Technology savvy and digitally literate, especially in respect of Applicant Tracking Systems and recruitment technology
- Developing creative and pragmatic talent acquisition strategies.
- Developing internal and external talent pools to proactively solve current and future skills needs, working closely with HRBPs, talent and learning colleagues.
