We are looking for a proactive and strategic Human Resources Business Partner to join our team and support our growing workforce.
Position Summary
The People Partner (HRBP) serves as a partner to designated business units on all human resources-related matters. The People Partner will align business objectives with employees and management, providing comprehensive HR guidance to facilitate effective team management. This role will report into the Global Head Of HR and oversee HR across New York, Los Angeles and Miami but will be based in our New York office.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations:
- Act as a resource and advisor to employees, fostering trust through the application of clear HR policies and systems, and offering support through all phases of the employee lifecycle
- Address and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations when necessary.
- Advise managers on effective ways to manage and resolve employee performance issues.
Talent Management:
- Run full lifecycle of the employee experience from on-boarding, engagement, development, and exit processes
- Support talent acquisition processes by collaborating with the Global Talent Business Partner and hiring managers to identify and attract top talent.
- Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a positive and seamless experience for new hires.
- Performance Management:
- Facilitate performance review processes, providing guidance on setting objectives and evaluating employee performance.
- Develop and implement strategies for employee development and succession planning.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Assist in the development and administration of compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation and benefits.
- Change Management:
- Lead and support change management initiatives, providing guidance on best practices for communication and implementation.
- Facilitate organizational change and support employees through transitions.
- HR Policy and Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize HR data and metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and present reports on HR metrics and trends to senior leadership.
- Payroll Management
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US legislation.
- Manage the preparation and submission of monthly payrolls, including calculations for overtime, bonuses, and other variable elements.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries, wages, and statutory payments.
- Work closely with the US payroll providers to timely and accurate data
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Qualifications:
- HR certification (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) or relevant years in role required.
- 4+ years of experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a HRBP role, in an agency environment
- Experience navigating the complex needs of dynamic teams, working with multiple stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, talent management, and organizational development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
