Capgemini is looking for a Director of Communications supporting its Financial Services BU, to lead a team across public relations, social media, and internal communications.
In this role, you will be responsible for the development, planning, and execution of external and internal communications strategies that align with the business’s positioning, audience strategy and market objectives. You and your team will set communications strategy for the SBU, create and deliver executive communications, position thought leadership including our signature World Reports, oversee our agency relationships, set KPIs, and measure impact. Reporting to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, you will have proven success executing communications programs in a fast-moving, B2B environment. Financial services industry experience is important for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop the financial services communications strategy to increase recognition and shape perceptions of Capgemini and its industry capabilities
Lead the media relations function, with a focus on delivering impactful results that effectively position the firm with tier one publications in key markets including North America, EMEA and APAC, and in verticals for banking, capital markets, wealth management and insurance
Provide strategic guidance and manage our agency partners and develop and maintain relationships with key journalists and influencers
Bring vision and leadership to evolve the function and develop a team of diverse, talented communicators
Leverage traditional as well as innovative and emerging technology/digital channels to advance communications internally and engage employees globally
Expand social media reach and engagement, and develop an influencer relationship program across a broad spectrum of channels
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver on our communications strategy
Evolve our internal communications and employee engagement program to communicate marketplace impact, recognition, and BU announcements with a focus on decreasing email volume and repositioning and driving more traffic to the intranet
Build, train and retain an inspired team of communications professionals, globally
Qualifications:
· 15+ years in Communications role with progressive experience
· Extensive experience working with media, including top-tier national, regional, financial, and trade outlets across North America, EMEA and APAC
· Ability to work one-on-one with business leaders (at all levels of the organization) on communications projects from conception to launch, and provide strategic advice and execution support throughout the process
· Balance strategic vision and tactical execution with a high degree of creativity, flexibility and results
· Strong personal communication, presentation, organizational and leadership skills
· Ability to set, measure, and report against meaningful communications goals (both quantitative and qualitative)
· Ability to create engaging stories and campaigns that showcase trends, outcomes and customer success
· Strong team ethic and collaborative work style. Enjoys mentoring, partnering with peers
· Has a global mindset and bias for action; enjoys building journalist relationships and finding new ways to engage them
