Job Title: Manager of People and Operations
Location: Remote (Transition to Hybrid Within 12-18 Months)
About Peaceful Psychotherapy: Peaceful Psychotherapy is a growing group practice dedicated to helping people heal and thrive through high-quality therapeutic care. Currently, we are a fully remote practice, meaning all of our therapists see clients virtually.
What sets us apart is that all our therapists are trained in EMDR, a groundbreaking modality that delivers incredible results in treating trauma. This focus on EMDR is a distinguishing feature of our practice, as few others provide this level of specialized care.
We’re passionate about creating a supportive and engaging work environment built around our three core values:
- Commitment to Mastery - We are dedicated to mastering our craft, with a strong emphasis on ongoing training and reflective practice to consistently enhance our service to clients and each other.
- Authentic Workplace Care - A commitment to fostering genuine relationships in the workplace, where every interaction is guided by empathy, understanding, and a sincere respect for each individual’s well-being.
- Sincere Candor - Fostering direct and honest communication because it drives growth and trust. As a feedback-open company, we embrace constructive insights to support personal and collective development.
As we scale, we’re looking for a visionary leader to join us in our mission as our Manager of People and Operations.

- Provide oversight and management of two virtual assistants, ensuring alignment with practice goals.
- Assist with project management, strategic planning, and execution of the owner’s to-do list, focusing on tasks beyond the scope of an assistant.
- Act as a sounding board for the owner, contributing to decision-making and problem-solving.
- Gain hands-on experience in the ins and outs of running a business by working closely with the owner and learning about business operations, strategy, and growth.
3. General HR Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Assist with recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes to ensure alignment with company values.
- Develop and update policies and procedures in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
- Provide support for conflict resolution, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
Vision for the Future: Peaceful Psychotherapy is on an ambitious growth trajectory, having 5x’ed our revenue last year, with plans to achieve the same growth this year. We’re committed to driving innovation in therapy, exploring and implementing techniques like EMDR and various brain-based therapies that are not yet widely utilized. We aim to elevate our clinical practices by incorporating evidence-based methods such as therapists reviewing recordings of their sessions and receiving regular feedback, as research shows this is critical for professional development and client outcomes.
We’re also envisioning the rollout of an online dashboard for clients, offering them unique and creative ways to track their progress and growth. This will not only enhance the therapeutic experience but also set a new standard for client engagement in the field. As part of our leadership team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing this vision.
Transition to Hybrid Work: While this role will begin as fully remote, it will transition to a hybrid setup within 12-18 months. This will involve working in-office three days a week and remotely two days a week. Applicants must be open to relocating to New York City to work in-office. A relocation stipend will be provided to assist with this transition. The move aligns with our plans to create a more in-person collaborative environment as we continue to grow and expand our operations.
