Job Summary: Lead company efforts to craft, manage and drive the communications strategy across all media and public relations channels. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing the company's public image and elevating reputation and brand. The role is responsible for developing communications strategies for the strategic goals of the company and brand elevation.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Develop and implement comprehensive media relations and public relations strategies and plans aligned with the company’s strategic goals
- Partner with internal subject manager experts to create thought leadership content for external communications, including messaging, news releases, industry spotlights, articles, blogs, website, social media, project videos and newsletters
- Retrieve, organize, analyze and synthesize complex subject matter into clear, concise, compelling and easy-to-understand information for target audiences
- Collaborate with marketing staff to develop content marketing strategies, calendar timeline and integrate them with digital marketing strategies
- Compose consistent content messages that resonate with each target market and audience
- Collaborate with the corporate marketing team to integrate PR campaigns with broader marketing initiatives
- Manage paid sponsorships and content development for webinars and podcasts
- Maintain relationships with key media outlets and industry publications and manage media inquiries
- Ensure all communication is coherent with company’s brand and professional standards
- Lead crisis communication efforts and providing rapid responses in a dynamic environment
- Support executive communication strategies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field from accredited college or university
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in media relations, public relations or corporate communications, with 4 years minimum leadership role preferred
- Experience with B-to-B digital marketing platforms leveraging content across multiple channels
- Fluent across multiple social media platforms and experience in online community building
- Working knowledge of the AEC business model preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including storytelling and the ability to craft messages that resonate with diverse audiences
- Proficient in social media creative and analytics
- Strategic thinker with excellent organizational and planning skills
- Expert in MS Office Suite, with particular expertise in PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently managing multiple projects, schedules and cross-functional teams
- Ability to work under pressure handling media relations and tight deadlines
Managerial Scope:
Oversee the employee life cycle from hiring and onboarding to mentoring, evaluating and offboarding, while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant labor laws. Additionally, developing and managing the department’s budget and supporting operational goals effectively.
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with occasional travel to office locations and industry meetings.

Base Compensation: $103,300 - $137,600

The starting salary for the successful candidate in this position is competitive and will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications and experience, geographic location, internal equity, company policy and practices.
Stanley’s Approach to Flexibility
While some members choose to work out of their local office on a full-time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or at home. Eligible roles can also offer a compressed workweek schedule. Members who participate will be assigned a 9/80 work schedule, meaning every other Friday off!
